Fantastic cafe with several beautiful spaces inside & out. We were in Dalby for work and ate there a few times. Each time is was very nice. The coffee is great, the food is delicious, the staff are lovely & the grounds are beautiful. I tried the lamb burger & it was yummy & the Okonomiyaki Fritter - never had this before and it didn’t disappoint.
We were amazed at the gorgeous decor & the menu was fabulous! We were up from Brisbane with friends in Dalby and were so pleased with all aspects of the cafe. Beautiful, efficient staff who couldn’t do enough for you. Thank you Urban Paddock, we’ll be back.
After a long absence I was in Dalby for my brother’s funeral. On my sister’s recommendation I came here for breakfast. I was blown away. When I was working I would check out all the Brissie cafes. This far surpasses them on so many levels. Apparently on weekends it can be quite busy - up to 200 people - and I wouldn’t be surprised, so you need to book. This has everything going for it: stunning building; great food and coffee; friendly staff; and relaxed and casual ambience. Top marks to the owners. It is only a block small in from the Warrego Highway and definitely worth the small detour.
We absolutely love Urban Paddock. Found it by accident on a drive one day and, just can't find enough words to praise this gem of Dalby. The property is an historic landmark building for Dalby and the story is a lovely read. It has been set up with care not to obliterate the past and also has a gift shop with a great gift selection including lovely gourmet food selections. The food is top-notch. Not only is it refreshingly different from anywhere else and I've eaten all over the world, it is satisfying and comforting and the portions are ample. My favourites are the Lamb Burger and the Chilli Lime Squid Salad. We drive from Kingaroy just for lunch and it's worth it every time. Kid-friendliness: This place is definitely family friendly. Plenty of room between tables so that your dining neighbours aren't being jostled, so many spots set up for the kids to play and explore while you are relaxing and watching them from your table, and plenty of seating inside and out. Parking: Though you have to park in the street, we've never had trouble getting somewhere close to park. Wheelchair accessibility: There is ramp access for wheelchairs and room between tables to get around easily. Dietary restrictions: There are vegetarian and gluten free options readily available.
Amazing burgers. We were unable to pick a favourite between the beef and chicken burgers. I also got a long black for the trip and the coffee was very good.Food: 5/5
On our travels around Oz, we have stopped at Dalby twice, and every time we have stopped here for coffee. Great atmosphere, inside or outside seating, great coffee. There a fashion and curio shop, Mille & Robe, great for a browse.Food: 4/5
The best place for a sit down breakfast in Dalby. fairly priced and the quality is also great. Very popular so would advise to call ahead. Plenty of seating around the back. Don’t do a big breakfast though, but you can add items. I added a sausage with my egg Bennie.
The Service and food came out very quickly however the reason for the 3 stars was the "big breakfast" with a coffee for $37 this is what you get. Everything on the plate was ok but the lamb. The lamb had huge amount of fat with very little ediable meat, extremely disappointing and I left feeling like I wasted my money. Had no staff come up after finishing meal to ask how it was or to clear the plates while I finished my coffee. I feel if you're paying close to $40 for breakfast get the portion and quality of the meat right.
Beautiful brunch dining experience. Such an amazing atmosphere, welcoming staff and coffee and dishes were delicious. 5 stars all roundFood: 5/5
We grabbed a couple take away coffees and a croissant. Wish we had time to sit in as the cafe is incredible and has such a good vibe.
