Nice place for a Coffee. Lovely Potato and Leek soup too.
I am local and I used to visit this cafe regularly. Ive just moved back from over east and was looking forward to brunch and coffee except my visit was really disappointing. I asked for a dairy free option and when my breakfast arrived I saw some dairy on my plate. When I mentioned this they just took my plate away without saying much - like I was an inconvenience. My plate arrived 5 minutes later and it looked like my original breakfast but re-plated. If you have an intolerance you’ll know that the slightest piece of food can cause a reaction. They weren’t helpful or understanding and just said ‘we’re busy’. I won’t return. Recommend you don’t either. Coffee tasted burnt too! Really don’t like writing this and such a shame but I guess places change. There are better places in Cott for brunch. I recommend Vans for brunch and Cimbolino’s for coffee and a croissant! Dietary restrictions: Doesn’t cater for dietary requirements and when asked, I felt like an inconvenience and they couldn’t be bothered. Response was ‘were busy’
The food is tasty we had pancakes and the a o smash. The pancakes were fluffy. It the Swiss was excessive on it. The service was lacking and lost one star for each 7 minute block we waited for coffee. It’s a great spot, with a good rating but perhaps it was an off day
Had some really good food here. The pork belly was tender and not dry. And it went really well with the potato rosti topped with a smooth hollandaise sauce. The baked Spanish eggs were fully of flavor and the serve was big enough that we had to get a take away container so we would not waste the rest. The price wasn’t to expensive for where it located. Will decently go again.
Steph and the girls are phenomenal and have been so welcoming to me and petal! Great coffee and thanks for having so many delicious vegetarian savoury snacks. Love, thank you team
Really pretty place, friendly staff. Lovely food. Food requirements metFood: 5/5
Cute cozy venue with friendly staff. Food was good and priced on par with other similar places. Coffee was served way too hot and as a result my milk was burnt and tasted horrid, rare for me not to finish my coffee but this one was left.
Lovely place for a coffee + snack. The staff is lovely. I enjoyed my mocha with almond milk and my banana bread. I would prefer just to have my coffee before my snack. :
Lovely friendly place with great coffee. Haven’t yet tried the food. . Despite its Napoleon street location is friendly to EVERYone, casual and helpful.
Rudest and most vile cafe owner I've ever encountered. This "gentleman" began to angrily abuse me as I approached his cafe with a friend for lunch as he was accusing that my little pug was about to pee on his planters!! My dog had already toileted as I explained to him and if he were to do anything, I'd gladly wash it away. He continued his explosive tirade and we went elsewhere for lunch. No wonder no one was dining there... All at Vans and Boatshed... With their dogs. Avoid.
