Great place to take photo. This place got beautiful old buildings with heritage, and provides stunning photo spots for tourist.nBut unfortunately, there's too many group tourists here. And it makes hard to take photo here. Most of them are so ignorant and rude. They just do everything they want!like making noise, trespassing prohibited zone I even felt sorry for the students taking exams there
The University of Sydney Quadrangle is one of the most iconic and historically significant landmarks on campus. Completed in the 19th century, it showcases breathtaking Gothic Revival architecture inspired by Oxford and Cambridge. Built with warm sandstone, the structure features pointed arches, tall towers, carved stone details, and elegant windows that reflect the university’s long academic tradition. The central clock tower and the beautifully manicured lawn add to its grandeur, making it a popular spot for ceremonies, graduations, and photography.nnThe Quadrangle is not only a symbol of the University’s heritage but also a centre of academic life. It houses important facilities such as the Great Hall, where major events and formal gatherings are held. Walking through the cloisters, visitors can feel the blend of historic charm and scholarly atmosphere. The building stands as a reminder of the University of Sydney’s status as Australia’s oldest university, founded in 1850.nnSurrounded by open green space, the Quadrangle provides a peaceful and inspiring environment for students and visitors. It remains a cultural and architectural icon in Sydney, attracting tourists, alumni, and scholars from around the world. Despite its historic appearance, the area is still actively used for modern university activities, symbolising the connection between past and present. The Quadrangle’s impressive design, rich history, and ongoing academic role make it one of the most recognisable and cherished landmarks in Australian higher education.
It's a great place to take some stunning photos. The buildings are similar to those you can see in Harry Potter's movies.
It was such a stunning example of Gothic Revival architecture. Its sandstone walls, intricate details, and peaceful courtyard create a timeless, majestic atmosphere. Walking through feels like stepping into history. It’s a must-see landmark in Sydney, truly breathtaking and awe-inspiring.
Perfect weather, beautiful place, and so many people are taking a photo all the way When I visit again, I want to get rest on the grass. Some people are doing that, It looks so romantic and peaceful!
