What a great bar, so clean, new and modern! Feels very high end and the drinks are good too. First time in Sydney's gay scene and I love it. Here for new year and will definitely be back. Music was good and a high quality sound
Didn’t eat here only drank some really cool drag danced by some very impressive drag queens ! Crowd is really strange but that’s not the clubs fault lol - music was really good consistently throughout the whole night. Also can’t express how much I appreciate not having an entry fee !! Felt a bit chockers at some points but I can’t complain, it’s nice to see a club full of gay people :
I was clearly and deliberately refused entry, and it was evident that the decision was based on my appearance, with the claim that I was “drunk” being used merely as a pretext to cover what was, in reality, racial and ethnic discrimination.nnThe moment I handed my ID to a security staff member, without being asked a single question or given any opportunity to explain, he immediately told me to leave, accusing me of being intoxicated in a sarcastic manner. When I calmly explained that I was not drunk, he laughed, mocked me, and spoke dismissively, saying words to the effect of “what are you telling me, you’re drunk,” while pointing at my clothing and belongings.nnAt the time, I was wearing shorts and carrying normal personal items such as a power bank and a vape, which he pointed out sarcastically, continuing to ridicule me rather than conduct any form of assessment. This made it very clear that intoxication was not genuinely believed, and was simply being used as an excuse.nnI would also like to clearly state that I do not consume alcohol, both by personal choice and for health reasons, as I have thalassemia minor. Alcohol negatively affects my health, which further confirms that the allegation of intoxication was unfounded and inaccurate.nnNo questions were asked, no assessment was made, and no attempt was taken to verify whether I was intoxicated. This was an immediate and humiliating dismissal, carried out publicly and without justification. Notably, no other person was refused entry at that time, while others were allowed in without any scrutiny.nnWhen another security staff member attempted to clarify the situation, the supervisor refused to listen to me or hear my side of the story, and made no effort to speak with me or assess the situation. This behavior further confirms that the decision was already made and reinforces the clear impression of discriminatory treatment.nnI fully understand that a venue has the legal right to refuse service. However, using that right to disguise discriminatory behavior based on race, ethnicity, colour, or identity is unacceptable and contradicts the values of fairness and equality.nnThis incident was a real shock to me. I had been looking forward to this night for an entire year as a break from constant work pressure. Instead, I left feeling humiliated and deeply affected.nnI have formally lodged an official complaint with the relevant authorities and will continue to escalate this matter through all appropriate legal and regulatory channels. I do not accept or tolerate discriminatory treatment in a country that actively fights racism and discrimination.nnI strongly urge management to review the CCTV footage and seriously address the conduct of both the security staff member and the supervisor involved. No one should be treated this way.
Really disappointed, last night, I was visiting from interstate wanted to head out for a few drinks. Bouncer accused me of being on drugs, not balancing… was completely sober and shocked, everywhere else let me in no issue but universal, very horrible experience
So I came here today, not just me though. No. I had my brothers accompanying me… Andrew, the master of disguise. Tim, the cook. And the other Richard, the one that sits at the back of the train, in the last carriage, eating a Red Rooster roll. He’s a decoy for when Alister and Barry attack. They’ll be busy in a duel while I’ll be on my way to Red Rooster with my carer, laughing and smoking a Double Happiness. Ah yes, the divine plan… nnAnyway, enough rambling—I need to get on with this review, otherwise it will be too long and no one will bother to read it. I see you, Alister. I know you are in my head playing these games, but you will not win. Not this time.nnThe girls here are unbelievable though. So unbelievably beautiful in fact I was questioning if they were even real girls the whole time. Tim just laughed when I told him—he was cooking the sausages on his new portable BBQ—and get this, Andrew, my brother who requires a mobility scooter to get around, was standing up stiff and straight, holding his lucky binoculars up to his eyes and smiling. Miracles really do happen here.nnI’m going to give this place 5 stars. I mean, what else can you rate this place other than perfection? I had a great time with the girls. Though I am still questioning if they were real girls. Tim managed to break in his new BBQ, and Andrew stood up for the first time since his boating accident with Pamela Anderson.nnFive stars!!! I will definitely be back again, but next time I will also be accompanied by my brothers Jacob, the jouster, and The High Pontiff Nafa. They say that Nafa is the only one alive who can still communicate telepathically with The Holy Red Rooster. nnPeace. Love. Do Drugs.n— Richard
