Use to be great in Petone, but then they moved to Lower Hutt in the old city plaza. The location is awful no signage out front no one would know it is there unless you looked up on the website before hand, but then it states its on Queens Street which is up in Auckland which they were meaning Queens Drive but the website nor menus were updated with the correct address. Tables weren't set up even though I emailed the previous week wanting a book for 9 people and when I got there they didn't know about the booking. The place was cramped and more like a Cafe area not a restaurant, it was freezing and one heater on but not much point as the sliding doors open to the cold plaza. The food was honestly not great, the bread tasted like cheap supermarket food the meat was alright, but not what I was expecting as I ordered a burger and got some roll thing. Wouldn't go back, I don't think anyone in my party will.

Best Briskett in Wellington by a long way. Take away option is great too. We’ve been eating at Uncle Mikes for years. Still supporting them since they have moved. Get down there.

Easily the best smoked meat in the Wellington area.

Hard to find and when we finally found it they were closed. It was 6pm on a Thursday.
