Still dealing with the repocutions of having our car serviced at Ultra Tune Hastings six months ago. Picked the car up to have the car reving extremely high (between 3.5-4rpm at idle), not being a mechanic, couldn’t work out what they had done. Requested a brake service due to shuddering steering wheel, was told they didn’t have time to carry it out after booking it in (after one of the owners turned up 1 hour late). Car broke down one week later in the middle of nowhere, where we learned engine filter had been removed and not replaced, no loading test completed on battery, no safety check carried out during service. When I initially picked car up, I asked what was picked up during the service and was greeted with a shrug. The man who completed the service entered the office area, I asked him the same thing, was greeted with “I dunno” and a shrug. Called Ultra Tune, Hastings after car broke down to inform them of the missing engine filter and the clear evidence of no safety check or battery load test, owner couldn’t care less and basically said “oh well”. Just had the brakes fixed, needed all new rotars and brakes (should have been picked up during the service), suspension fluid/oil has a very clear leak (as picked up by our new mechanic which he said there was no way this wouldn’t have been picked up if they had it on the hoist), rear tyres are old and going bald. A complete waste of over $400, they did nothing (literally) and terrible (shocking) customer service. Can’t believe this place is still operating! I wouldn’t trust them with my sons plastic tricycle!

Had my car serviced here, besides being overcharged they had left out a lot of information of what needed to be fixed. Wasn’t happy to find out what they had missed.

Hastings UltraTune : DISAPPOINTINGLY Poor Service!! Unprofessional, Dishonest, Apathetic and Unapologetic for their tardiness, mistakes and problems they caused !! WORST PLACE I have ever been to ! VERY VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE ! They do not care about you or your car !!
