My fiancé had his K1 interview recently, and had a good overall experience! Staff were friendly, security was easy to go through, and everything went smoothly. Thank you for providing a good experience!
Lovely, professional staff all round who helped nervous anxious people like myself relax! Let's face it you get a bit nervous when you go into an American Consulate. These staff served their country with a smile. I'm grateful.
The US consulate in Sydney is clean and organized inside out.nnOn my interview day, I have arrived at the waiting lobby on the ground floor 15 mins before scheduled time and then proceed to the main entrance to go through security and reception.nnThen you will take the elevator upstairs for the actual interview. I enjoyed the process because it's kinda funny to watch people act in different ways and get different results really. nnPersonally, I found the American consulate officers are quite processional and friendly though.nn Please remember you can't bring your bags in. P.s you can just store it in nearby grocery shop or just leave it at home.nnTransport wise it's probably easier to take metro since parking can't be hard to find.nnIf you want an earlier interview time, make sure you refresh the visa scheduling page every now and then as there may be earlier slots released by other applicants.

Staff were friendly and helpful, did emergency passports in a couple hours. You are now allowed to bring your mobile phone up with you as long as it is on silent and turn off Bluetooth. There is a news agent a couple doors down that does US sized passport photos and sells express post envelopes and satchels in a few sizes. There is parking literally next door at 54 Miller Street.
