Stopped in on our way through and got a yummy mince & cheese pie, a steak, bacon & cheese pie, and a jam & cream donut. Pies were large & hot! Perfect pastry. The selection of pies & pastries was awesome!
Have popped in for delicious 'party' food a couple of times lately and been proud to presentmlovely plates of food. Decided to get a steak pie for a quick tea tonight only to be disappointed.. wonderful pastry, but very tough steak ... what went wrong?
Amazing seedy sourdough, incredible soft fruity hot cross buns, delectable almond croissant. So much excellency with baked goods. Highly recommend for an easy weekend brunch.
Best bakery ever ! Won the BEST HOT CROSS BUNS IN NZ in 2018. They do their own version of Subway, the TRADIE ROLL with either beef, chicken or ham fillings They have just come up with a new creation. The Cheeseburger Pie ! I must apologise that I'd actually peeled the top off and eaten it BEFORE I took this photo... But pie really did taste like a cheeseburger :
Their baking is very tasty and they have a huge variety of savory and sweet. Their bread is also baked in house and it is so delicious. Friendly service

Hungry? Peckish? Maybe even esurient? If you want to eat the best sausage rolls in Timaru you have to go to U Bake out at Washdyke. This tiny bakery, tucked away on SH1 just along from the Caltex gas station, not only does the best sausage rolls in South Canterbury but also has a tempting selection of pies, cakes, breads and filled rolls. Try a mini doughnut filled with custard, jam or caramel. And don’t forget to grab a packet of their delicious seed cake sticks. Mmmmm…salty.
Great pies. Hands down some of the best I have ever had. Big size, high quality, they are just great. Also a range of other products. Ciabatta bread I also rate. At Easter they did great gluten free hot cross bun. The gluten free snickers slice got me out of the dog box with the wife so thank you.

Very good n quality pastry and bread. It's coffee is also good. I believe they have authentic local recipes for their breads and cakes. Well done.
