Need a mechanics opinion!!!nnTyre Power GladstonennLong story short, I put my car into tyre power Gladstone I’ve spent over $7000 fixing my transmission and rocket cover gasket 08/2024. Told him my engine was leaking oil and he told me it was my rocket cover gasket. He “fixed it” but after it kept leaking oil. Went back and he “fixed” it again. I’ve gone back so many times for him to fix this oil leak yet he keeps misdiagnosing it. I suggested it might be the timing chain gasket which he said no and changed a pipe and my water pump which I told the lady at the front desk to not worry about the water pump as it had nothing to do with the oil leak and they did it anyway still had to pay for that. I pick my car up, take it home open up my bonnet and it’s leaking oil again. I take it back straight away and then he calls me later saying it’s the timing chain gasket. So, happy has now charged me over $9000. I know for a fact that he’s misdiagnosed my car because I’ve got pictures of the oil leak from when it started 03/2024 to now 04/2025. When I tell him he’s misdiagnosed my car he told me “would you rather me do it bit by bit or do it all at once and it will be a big bill”. My car is still with happy and on Wednesday 23/04 I called him asking if my car was done and he said no but he will start it asap then on the same day he calls me at 2:16pm saying my car is done. I then ask him if it will be the same quote which he quoted me 4 hours and by the call log it only really took him 2 hours. He told me I’ll be paying the 4 hours labour which is not right? I really need another mechanics opinion because I’m sick of paying all this money.
Happy and his manager were rude and dishonest. I dropped my car off at 8:30am for a 4-5 hour job and didn’t get it back until 4pm. When I asked for time it would be finished I was lied too. I was charged extra for services I did not want or need. Do not go to this mechanic
Buy 3 get 1 free deal on $360 tyres and a $60ish. W/A and apparently putting a spare tyre in adds up to $1500 hmm quick maths. When i questioned it could hardly understand what was said in response from what i understood its apparently 25% off no way could off fooled me, then when checking out tyres centre caps were all broken and super glued back together, thats fine it happens, boys out the back may have told the secretary but wasn’t even mentioned to menVery unprofessional makes the guys who work out the back look bad.nnThen later on told that the price of each tyre was adjusted, which was never communicated to myself. Just trying to cover their own tracks.nLies and poor management
