Great atmosphere, friendly service. Out door seating available with large screens for the footy. The Friday date night special was great value with generous servings this came with Turkish bread and dips along with any two meals of you choice all fo $55 We chose the surf and turf much to many negative reviews posted regarding steak, We asked for medium rare pictures speak for themselves belowbesides the sauce on the steak being split it was a nice thick cut and we enjoyed it. Drinks were a reasonable price and wine glasses were generous. I would be back to this place it was a comfortable setting with great service... and so long as you don't come with high expectations you will actually be pleased also.
Best value for money and crazy good fried chicken burger and chips! Was $18 for a burger and chips, and only $12 for a tasting paddle on a weekday for a great midday lunch. Some great beer options milk stout, xpa, cider, IPA and fast service. Found a fruit fly in one of my drinks and they apologised and gave me a new one no questions asked. Absolutely will be back, bring on the lunch specials! 5/5 Parking: Plenty at Coventry.
Good family grill that can be a bit slow with service. The food is pretty reasonable for the price. Had the steak, crab, baked camembert cheese and seafood platter. The steak was well cooked to medium rare with a nice herbed butter. The baked camembert was a standout and worth a visit on its own. Be prepared to wait awhile for you food here.
Food can be a bit hit and miss but overall an extensive menu with great daily specials. Service is great and quick, especially when quieter. The gin flight is a winner. Vegetarian options: Plenty of salad options. Parking: It's Coventry Markets so the parking is always busy, especially on the weekends.
READ CAREFULLY: Service is everything this is why I would come back. I have rated this as a 1. Star but this place deserves higher than that as they are willing to correct their mistakes. This is our story. We ordered a 1kg Rump Steak Medium Rare. Presentation was ok quite generous servings. We received the meal fairly quickly after the kids meals. Once we got stuck into the steak, the smaller half was quite well done and the larger half was a little over medium rare bordering well done. Meat was over seared and tough to chew. Perhaps it was the choice in rump but definitely it was cooked too fast. Tshering Dorji the service attendant offered compensation via free drinks and also gave my kids free ice cream which was a plus although it’s not the experience we were after. But the attempt to make up for the kitchen mishap was well received by us, considering they moved quickly to ensure we’re not feeling disgruntled. Both service attendant staff were delightful & This attempt on fixing a customers issue quickly is what will have me coming back at least one more time. I look forward to coming back another time to see if anything changes. Also some feedback I would definitely find some way to notify guests ordering steaks that there are steak knives if not bring it out with the steaks would be great.
The food is okay portions are big service is okay can get busy so book a table fish was over cooked burger was not good friends ordered same time as us and we got our order okay they got there main first then entree tables are not clean just wiped down with a wet cloth this place as changed alot but not for the good
We arrived at 243 bar and grill intending to have coffee and cake but the menu looked so good We thought we'd get an early dinner. Not allowed to order at 4.28 meals open at 4.30 Ok, how about a coffee then. Coffee took so long we ordered dessert. Coffee was room temperature, dessert was delicious. we couldn't be seated in the small tabled dining area as they were fully booked. When we left 35 minutes later the restaurant was still empty. No reserved signs on any tables and a waitress doing nothing all that time. strange times indeed.
I don't think I have ever waited at a bar to order food or drinks for this long ever! The staff are lovely and definitely trying their best but when there is a line out the door, drying the glassware isn't a priority at that very point. Food and drinks very reasonably priced and a nice atmosphere but as much as it's less personal please implement order at your table qr codes would save alot of waiting! Would come again as the food was good but service leaves a little to be desired.
Almost 2 months ago we moved to this area and needed to find a new local that we could frequent and call "our local". Have been here a few times now and they have never disappointed. Meals are generous and drinks are a great price. Lots of specials on for both with no scrimping just because it's a special. So hello to "our new local". Please don't change
Had a really great time with a group of friends 35 of us. A long wait to order...should have had more than 1 person at counter. However steak was cooked perfect. Staff were engaging/ polite/friendly.Food: 5/5
