Turn the Corner Medical Clinic puts you at the centre.

Sometimes things are needed when you are overseas, or it is after hours, or there is haste. Turn the Corner is always looking to provide convenient access, and so is working towards tele-consults, after hour consults, email communication for repeat scripts, repeat referrals and some certificates. All your results are interpreted and provided to you electronically.

I have been going to Turn the Corner for about 18 months, i’ve Seen 3 Drs and the nurse over this time. I have to say their professionalism and care is amazing. I can’t recommend them highly enough

My first time at this clinic was great. Lovely staff and reception area. Dr Mountford was exceptional. I'm happy to have found a good clinic in my area.

Really can't recommend the doctors here highly enough. Dr Franklin and Dr Mountford have been fantastic.

I found the doctor to be condescending and talked for a long time, but without giving much advice to follow up on. My sister has also attended this clinic, most recently for a broken wrist. She had already had x-rays, but the doctor was unable to read the x-rays and sent her home. The doctor then took over 24 hours to get back to her, and was only in contact after my sister emailed the clinic to check if there was any news. When the doctor finally confirmed the break, she failed to give a referral to a fracture clinic/outpatients and told my sister that she needed to get a physio to put a cast on. The physio wasn't set up for this and by this time it was Saturday afternoon, with the only remaining option for any medical treatment was going to the emergency ward or waiting until Monday to see another GP to get a referral. Complete failure in their duty of care.

Hi Tamsin, in response to your reply : my sister came to see you 2 weeks (not a month!) after she had an accident. She (clearly) has an extremely high pain threshold and was in the middle of uni exams, so pushed through the pain. The wrist was continuing to cause her pain and her movement was limited, so she saw a physio. The physio ordered the x-ray (as you stated) and my sister was told to make an appt with a GP to get a referral, which she did on the same day (Friday). When she saw you, you told her that you needed the x-ray to be able to confirm a break. She had the x-rays there on a disc but you said it was of no use to you (even though we were able to look at the images at the computer at home) and sent her away to wait until she heard back from you. She didn't hear from you that day (Friday). She emailed the clinic the next day after waiting 24 hours to hear from you. Your advice was "bone is definitely broken and needs protecting but is not too bad so she does not need to go to the fracture clinic at this point" - that is the opposite of referring her to the fracture clinic.

After 18 years in Northcote I've finally found a 'family doctor'. A clinic truly invested in the health and wellbeing of our family. Can't thank you enough, we're in good hands.
