This park and surrounding Darling Quarter us great for kids. Water feature they can run in, a big playground but also cafes, ice cream, restaurants. Wilson car park is $15 flat rate Saturday and Sunday but expensive on weekdays. Adjacent Chinese friendship garden is about $4-8 per person and looks really cool too.
Great for little ankle bitters to run around ,either a the water area or the park plenty of sitting area on the grass or under the umbrella but arrive early to secure a spot plenty of restaurants to chose from.. Recommend for a quick stop off for the kids to let some steam out
Nice place to chill, wide open spaces in the middle of the city. Plenty attraction sites and nice cafes. Also the children's park is amazing!
Free fun entertainments for kids! Surrounded by cafes/restaurants, great playground, water activities bring change, my girl is upset as we didn't and until oct 11, Tuff Nutterz is there - ticket is $20 for 45 min. You can Google it and book online.
Great place for a walk, the Chinese Gardens are a classic and there are clean public toilets. I think you can picnic, but better check to make sure
