Great place. Nice to see an ambitious local place. Excellent menu. Enjoyed it. Came back with 16 friends and managed to all eat for under $300. Including chips and some other accoutrements, not drinks. Very happy The photo is my brother's "burger as a salad"
Firstly this is not some fancy burger place, it's a place for the taste not the looks, and that's what makes it great. It's cheap and sometimes looks it, but in the end the burgers taste great. What else is really important in a burger? We all know it will look terrible seconds after we pick it up. So I suggest this place to any traveller or local, because what's on the inside does matter more than what's on the outside.
Best. Chips. Ever. And the onion rings are pretty good too. Prefer them in the batter than the crumb tho I'm actually not a burger person but I will circle the block forever until I get a park just to get chips from here. The sweet potato chips are the best I've ever tasted. The staff are always very friendly and service in general is great. Have visited with friends who have said the burgers are excellent. And they're dudes, so they would tell you if they weren't any good. Top spot for nosh.
I have to be very honest and say that my experience at TUBE was seriously very ordinary. Although their buns were good quality, the rest of the hamburger contents were an extreme let down. Not only was the meat patty small, very thin and very odd tasting, upon closer inspection of the patty, it appeared to have a very odd looking colour although it was actually cooked. Allegedly. The rest of the contents in the hamburger were extremely poorly rationed. This is certainly a big let down from a company that supposedly prides itself on good quality and big quantity. I do honestly think that the cook must have been having a really bad day and decided to take it out on my food order. I only hope that this isn't the usual procedure of customers orders. I was subjected to this "experience" approx 14 months ago and I obviously haven't been back since. I have since purchased a far better quality hamburger from a different establishment and have in fact been back several times because the quality of their products are so much more better than what I was served up at TUBE. I am very obviously not in any hurry to return to the TUBE establishment.
My boyfriend and I had a friend visiting from England and we just so happened to go on a Wednesday when it was 3 burgers for the price of 2 with 2 sides. Spent $45 between the three of us which is absolutely great value for these delicious and huge burgers. There were so many options we'll definitely be going back for some more!
Great selection. We'll made. Even a vegan option. It's not cheap but doesn't cost the earth either. Literally like 25 burgers to choose from, fries, nice pop etc. It's a burger joint, not fancy or super incredible but I liked it and I don't even eat meat!
Had the whole family here tonight. Cheap Tuesdays, same quality as always. No complaints from the table, only a suggestion for more sauce. Very friendly staff, it was packed but they seemed calm, kept tables clean and even cleaned up around the area. Much faster than expected for the amount of people in the line.
I had the gluten free beef burger, for 14.50 was a bit pricey but it's a real burger, not like the crap mc Donald sell. Had a real steak and that green stuff, salad. Taste was right up there. Not quite as good as phat burgers in toowoomba tho. Would recommend it to others, good to see a real humburger shop in existence just around from the big mac.
The constituency of the burger meat resembled dog food. Bit into it and it made me feel sick. It was luke warm and splurged out of the sides. I asked if that was normal was abruptly told yes by a dismissive staff member. I even waited before going up to the counter so that other paying customers wouldn't overhear. No apologily was offered nor did they offer to check it. I've had several burgers here and none resembled this. Indeed before we left the couple behind us were eating "normal" burgers. This was the ultimate worst burger I have ever had.
I was fortunate enough to win a voucher that Tube had generously donated to help kids with SIDS which is admirable, but also the burgers were delicious and the service friendly and efficient. Well done on all counts! the only thing I will say was the address says the Strand and it's on a side street. Well worth finding!
