I have been erecting sheds now for 25 years and have erected a lot of different brands of sheds and Trubilt are by far the best shed that you can buy. If you want to erect it yourself they are the easiest to erect with all the purlins and girts pre-punched and the whole frame bolts together plus their directions are second to none. I wouldn't buy a shed from anywhere else
My review is from a customer service point of view only. One of the senior salesmen sold us this shed and they recommended their draftsman and planning person. We were told to expect the process would take as long as six months, so this lulled us into a low expectation as to timelines. Anyhow, 2 months passed with no word. I called our council only to be told that there was no application in place for our address. So it was us who had to determine this. Amazingly enough, upon informing the planning consultant, there was no problem with it being sent and received the second time. The council planning process turned out to be relatively quick. After the council approved our permit, we were charged $220 for advertising. The planning consultant arranged this and we paid it to him. I found out later that the actual council fee was $96. Upon mentioning this feedback to Tru Bilt, we received nothing but defence of their planner. I then tried to ask Tru Bilt if they had booked in a build date, to which I was given a miriad of reasons why it might be pushed out, including that one of their erectors had broken his leg. Upon pushing, I was told that we had only paid a small deposit that wouldn’t cover the costs of the material, and I then mentioned that they only needed to say and I could have paid more.... upon which I was told that he believed I wouldn’t have paid more deposit . Then well before the parts had been made, we stupidly asked if it were possible to increase the pitch of the roof - bad move!!!! These people are entirely obstinate and will tell you every reason how and why changes are too hard!!! My wife also called them and when told that the order had already gone through, she had the whits to ask them to whom the order had been made and for their details - to which she was called a ‘Piece of work’ by the senior salesman I can only hope that the actual shed is as good as it is meant to be! Don’t go to Tru Bilt if you appreciate good customer service and flexibility. We won’t be going here again! Most good companies would look at reviews like this and then determine if they could have done anything better for the future. I somehow doubt that Tru Bilt will bother. My bet is that they learn nothing and continue to think that their customers are all wrong and keep going on. Take this as an opportunity to improve!!!
My husband and I are extremely happy with our new shed. Helpful and friendly staff and prompt delivery. No hesitation in recommending Trubilt.
