My better half rang at 8 in the morning to reserve the pink barbie car. She was absolutely over the non, even though we arrived an hour late, they still held the car for her. $120 for a fun day driving around the majestic Magnetic Island. By hiring the car we could drive to all the scenic recommended areas and carry our bags. The staff were amazing recommending places to go and things to do. Very knowledgeable and super friendly. Thanks again for making our day trip one to remember.
Discover Magnetic Island in style, unless you want to go off-road. Comfortable with 2 adults & 2 kids, I am over 6ft and was able to squeeze in and out ok. Bit of storage also which was a bonus.
Old but fun cars we had a top less car to get around the island I find $100 a day a bit expensive for what you get but I guess they have to make a dollar when it’s school holidays.
The Topless car rental was AMAZING! The staff were absolutely fantastic! Mark I believe this is his name!! was lovely and did everything in his power to make sure we were happy. Initially when we picked up the car they didn't have any pink cars left, however they let us swap our car for a pink one the next morning at no cost. We all had the best time and I would 100% recommend to anyone wanting to experience magnetic island in a cute little car. Thank you so much guys!!
Just wanted to take the time to thank Tropical Topless Cars. We had an amazing day yesterday on the island exploring with the two cars we hired. The owner was super helpful, went through our cars, took the time to explain everything, gave us maps and set us on our way! At some stage throughout the day our key broke off in the car door. When we contacted the owner he came to us straight away with a new key and wasn't mad, he made us feel at ease that it was just something that can happen! We are grateful for his positive attitude and going above and beyond with all of us! Big thank you! Definitely go here to hire a car for your island adventure!
SO AWESOME! Really easy and quick to rent a couple of cars, definitely the best way to get around the island. Well worth the money, and super cheap when you each chip in for the cost. We had so much fun driving our topless Barbie car and our automatic Ken car all day. The folks who served us were super friendly and helpful. Thanks for making our day on the island extra special!
A group of us hired two topless cars on Magnetic Island and they were awesome! When we arrived the staff were super friendly and helpful: they gave us a map and showed us the best places to go! We had an issue when out in the topless car and straight away they came and helped us out. The staff are awesome and I would highly recommend using this company!
i had no problem here. i walked in , laid down my money and was in a topless car in 5 minutes. i drove around all day with no problems. wear trainers when driving, the space between pedals is quite small so wearing boots / large shoes might present problems. if you've got kids they'll love it. In peak season book ahead as cars get snapped up quick. You'll need 4WDs to explore more of the island.
Fun way to get around the island, the whole process of renting is quick and easy. Cars are cute if not a bit old. They could do with a bit more info when advertising, ie manual drive only, not being able to go on unsealed road, etc. Otherwise all in an a good experience.
Topless car rentals are FANTASTIC! I would highly recogmend renting one as it really was the best way to see the island. We had so much fun travelling around the island in our little barbie car. Mark was amazing and let us come back and swap our car the following morning because there weren't any pink cars left when we originally went to pick it up. He really went out of his way to make us happy which was so nice of him. Really great staff and lots of cars to choose from.
