Both times I have tried to get useful into from the guy standing out the front he's either given incorrect leading to me missing the train or blatantly unhelpful info and not cared about the fallout. Basically - don't trust the staff to be helpful or even answer your questions. The station itself is quite nice.
Upgrades to the foot bridge going well! Trains always cleaned ready for the next day. PSOs doing what they can to keep the place safe.
The station is rather bland, it doesn't have super frequent services the services it does get usually average 1-2 hours between trains. The station is served by trains originating and terminating at Bairnsdale but also receives some services that terminate and originate at Traralgon. The station also receives a few coaches to various places. The station is pretty peaceful and there usually aren't a lot of people around. It has an okay bridge to crossover the tracks. There is only 1 platform however there used to be 2, the second one is now na art Centre. Trains sometimes stop at that platform but please note you cannot board or disembark there.
Right now it’s usable, however it could be so much better with a little help from a big bucket of money from our friends at head office in Canberra

Hopeless service you take a train to taralgon for them to keep changing the bud times on us first it was 8:20 now 9:30 why have trains and busses running telling us it’s to our stop and then just stops services in taralgon shouldn’t have buses or services running if it only takes you half way to where you wanna go and then they just say it’s not on us
I have never had a positive interaction with the staff here. Smile as big as you can and all you get is blunt, straight faced reply. Who put these guys in the Customer Service window?? Asides from that, the station is spacious and tidy but little else.
Clean, has toilets, staff were helpful
Sat 20 Feb, 4.24pm... Two and a half hours from Southern Cross to Traralgon on a Vline bus replacement service... Victorian Touring Coaches ha ha! One star is one too many... bus toilet locked, no driver communication with customers, and legroom befitting a grade 3 schoolkid. Lift your game Vline! Your treatment of Gippsland customers is appalling!
Clean are friendly and understanding. Pity other citizens ruin the experience for others.
