Offering a unique perspective of the history of road building in Queensland, come discover how its road network has been developed, from the conditions under which road workers laboured, to the modern plant and equipment you see on roads today.

We visited this Main Roads Museum in Sept. 2015. It was a very interesting smaller type museum suitable for all ages. They have a special program for school children. There is a short video showing very early ways of road-making up to the present time which was excellent. There is quite a few pieces of machinery in the museum showing how road building has progressed.
