My friend is Greek and wanted me to try authentic as he could find Greek and this is one of his fav spots. Located on busy King St, it is a small storefront, only a few tables inside. More of a takeaway spot it seems. They serve classic Greek food. Centred around one long wooden bar style counter, with a few whitewashed wood tables, only around 4 of them! Takeaway fridge full of the usual suspects, juice, greek drinks including beer and wine, soft drinks and water. Lamb Souvlaki plate $30 Served with hand cut fries, tzatziki, grk sauce & grk salad w/o feta - we shared this thank god, and yes it was super authentic and super delicious. The portion size is huge and the salad was really fresh. If you’re in the area, they also have a shop at Ramsgate Beach and are graving a Gyros or authentic greek food, check it out!
Ordered the chicken and pork pita. Chicken was very dry and both were very bland. A little disappointed.
We were looking for a protein but but also somewhere quite casual and Grk fit that brief. We also live in the area so it made for a quick dinner that suited us well. We were thankful for the outdoor tables, for we could sit there with our puppy. Grk serves fresh and tasty Greek food. Focusing on souvlaki. Plenty of dips from tzatiki to taramoslata, served with pita bread, fried calamari, haloumi, chips with oregano and feta and pita wraps or plates. The portions here are pretty big! We shared a lamb skewer plate, with onions, tomatoes, pita, dip and fries. Quality of the food was excellent with delicious meat and sides. We also got a cabbage salad and drinks. The service here was great and the lady at the counter was very helpful. You can also order takeaway online or Uber eats / deliveroo food service.
grk Souvlaki is the perfect place to drop in for a quick meal during lunch or dinner. The service is friendly and the food comes out pretty quick. I’m not a huge meat eater so it’s nice to see calamari on the menu board. I had calamari wrapped in a fluffy pita with chips and hummus. The calamari was tender and light and delicious. The Greek Loux drinks offered in the fridge make everything perfect. #letsguide #greekfood
ordered 2 gyros today , first of they were over priced for size and quality definitely not worth it at all Chips were under cooked and soggy, meet was off putting and chewy , FETA CHEESE OUT OF DATE! worst part of it all, i went back to complain nothing was done. very unpleasant taste + smell couldn’t bare to eat.
Most amazing authentic Greek food. Staff are really nice and the portion size is big! They also have vegetarian options which is awesome. I will come back for more regularly. :
Authentic Greek food and even drinks such as Loux, fix and Mythos beers. The food is huge and very delicious and service is very fast and good. Listen to nice Greek music as you await your food and the place is very clean too.. Worth the penny.. You might think you are in Greece once you enter this place..
Came here for dinner. The food was pretty good. The music was loud. The staff were fighting with each other one minute then joking around the next...so pretty authentic.
Great gyros. Place is small but cozy. Portion is really big so be mindful when ordering! This is a great go to greek restaurant in the neighbourhood.
