7+ hours of waiting without any timeline for treatment and not even help to cleanse wounds. I will now attend a private emergency room, but I pity Australians who have no other option.
Would not recommend kept pushing me back for 4 days putting ppl in front of me so unfair even when it was a emergency n I kept losing blood n still kept putting ppl in front of me
I know there are horrific stories about the ED but my experience after a fall last night was of excellent care and service. Admitted via ambulance after taking a heavy tumble I was processed quickly, tests ordered and executed in a timely manner and treatment commenced - including sutures to my forehead before being discharged for GP follow - up. Thank you ED.Staff. Grateful for your care and attention. Judy 79 years old.
Went in several times at one point due to extreme back pain, having my Mother basically carry me in. Every time was told I had cHrOnIc PaIn and given meds and told to leave. Turns out I had a severe herniated disc compressing my spinal cord and needed surgery just days after getting results back with my GP.
Usually excellent, though I still wish they would be less antagonistic/ dismissive of/to mental illness. But better than most hospitals. Very thorough and caring for the most part and waiting time is not too excessive by comparison.
