I sat PTE exam at TIES. I got my desired score, Very helpful team specially lady I can't remember her name and I highly recommend this place.
I highly recommend the Townsville International school. After a few failed exams, for which I was preparing by myself, I decided to take One-On-One classes. Kit helped me to identify my weaknesses and further develop my writing skills. In a considerably short time of period, I have improved immensely and reached excellent results with overall score 88 on the PTE listening 87, reading 88, speaking 90, writing 82.
I went to TIES asking about IELTS courses, which I had done it twice before 8L 7.5R 6W 7.5S. Kit advised me to take on some 1-to-1 lessons only as I didn't need a course. I had been studying on my own before, but he gave me lots of advice and real feedback on exam technique and what were the examiners looking for. We did 3 1-to-1 lessons, once a week, and I did lots of practice in between on my own. I can now finally said that I've passed my IELTS with a 7.5 in Writing when I only needed a 7. But what's more, I've jumped one and a half-band since the previous time! Despite my initial reservations due to the price 100 $ / h, I think it was the best investment I've ever done. He was very patient and advised me on what I needed to improve particularly, adapting the lessons to my needs and trying on different strategies to find the one that suits me better for me was not the brainstorming, for example, was to get the main one and develop from there. I never felt pressurised to take on more lessons and he was optimistic yet realistic and very supportive.
For my registration I needed a better result in the writing part of the IELTS test. Due to circumstances I only had a couple of days to get this result.. I am convinced the one-in-one tutoring I got at TIES was essential in achieving what I needed. Moreover the staff were very friendly. I can recommend them to anyone!
Excellent teacher and learning environment in North Queensland. Spent half year there and got what I need, highly recommend!
