The sushi was below average in taste and a bit dry only. I had vegetarian sushi.
3.4. I really needed some cleansing sashimi today. I was pining for it. Tower Sushi delivered, I’m happy to report. The salmon sashimi I chose from their Southern Cross Station outlet was thrillingly fresh for a chain store offering. It was lovely salmon and mighty hard to fault. I thought it was quite good value too. The whole experience was topped off for me by the supercharged packet wasabi they use here, the same brand as IGA supermarkets offer. Volcanic wasabi I’ll call it. It’s about three times as fiery as the sorts you usually get. I become quite excited by this brand as a tiny smear too much and you’ll near blow the top of your head off. I like living on the edge sometimes and that’s probably why I did a skydive recently too. The only downside to this place was the 1% card surcharge. It seems silly and unworthy. Beyond that, I like it here.
Despite a few bad reviews i've never had any issues at all here - i usually grab one of those 4 packs of sushi after 5pm which are only $8 great price and the quality of sushi has always been good, thanks guys.
Consider you are at the station complex. Quick and tasty japanese. Try the vegie pancake/ pattie.
I am fusst when it comes to Sushi, some places are hacks. I got a California pack for my train trip home to NSW yesterday, this place was by far the freshest and nicest Sushi I have ever had. It was perfectly balanced with flavors and a perfect bite size for easy eating. Fresh tasty satisfyingly delicious!!!
The staff are horribly unfriendly and rude, didn't serve us for 2 minutes while they chatted. The sushi itself is decent, poor experience :
Customer service is awful. There is one clerk who I assume that she is from Shanghai from her accent. She is extremely rude and she has an attitude towards me. Most awful people I have ever seen in my life.
taste: ok service: lucky timing ok too. Glad that the wasabi still very fresh! great to have it on the first time in Melbourne.
Sushi was dry and stale Customer service was awful. I asked the clerk for water and after some attitude he gave me hot water. Sushi 3/10 Service 1/10
The food is decent but the staff are really awful! Poor manners and very rude. Edit 2018: Since ownership changed, service has MUCH improved!
