Waste of money. A big price to pay for rubbish service. I ordered steak with gravy on the side because I don't eat gravy on Steak, I only dip the chips. I got my steak drenched in the gravy, as were my chips and salad. We watched 4 other tables be served their food before our table, when we ordered first. My partners medium cooked steak was VERY well done to the point where he couldn't eat it. No offer of a discount or refund was made. Will never eat there again and wouldn't recommend it to others. A very disappointing dinner.
If I could give two ratings for here, it would help. We've been here a couple of times for breakfast; Loved it! Great service and great food. So decided to go for dinner; Not good! Many things we asked for when ordering came out wrong. While the wait staff were very attentive, they seemed under trained. We will go back for breakfast, but not dinner.
Please avoid, service is 1 star, quality of food is 1 star, the decor and cleanliness is 2 star. The best part was that I did not get food poisoning. They should not be allowed to call what they serve "fish". There are other restaurants nearby which for the same price you can be served infinitely better ingredients with a smile. I should have known better when a restaurant asks you to pay first. ACTUALLY - the chips were very good 1 and a half stars!
Enjoyed a meal at Toscanini's last night. Food was quite good but service non-existent. Had to catch someone's eye with difficulty each time we wanted to order. Main complaint was that when we were paying our account the employee refused to accept 2 Entertainment Book vouchers for 2 couples. Insisted that we should have sat at separate tables, and that his machine would not register both vouchers. Have since phoned the Entertainment Book and they advise that this is wrong procedure. It wasn't a huge discount involved, but rather a principle. I advise if staff refuse to accept a legitimate second voucher insist on speaking to the Manager.
Very disappointed in the service and food we received. Took 45+ minutes for our lunch to come out, for it then to taste Like nothing. The service was so slow,staff were walking around looking half asleep. Then order cake,with no cake menu or cakes labeled to know what they were. Thought to have ordered a chocolate cheese cake,to then get a sponge moose. No water offered. Have to do everything yourself. Very very poor service.
I dont know why the reviews are so low! I personnally had a great service and food. I took the Blue Winter special which for 20$ you had a lot of choices. Mushrooms soup with garlic bread + gnocchis with tomato/basil sauce + dessert of choice huge selection!!!! and coffee/tea. Everything tasted great, waiter which seemed to have not much experience but still did a great job was super nice and informative.
Their $20 special 3 course was incredible. Lovely winter soup and garlic bread to start, a choice of fresh fish anr chips or pasta for entree, and a decadent slice of cake of your choosing with tea or coffee. Cracking deal, highly recommend it.
Do not go here. Waited 50 minutes for a subpar mediocre meal which I could have made quicker mind you by going down to my local IGA. Chilli Mussels came out cold and chewy in a simple tomato sauce which tasted like it came out of a tin. Porterhouse steak wasn't cooked to the right temperature despite the waiter asking three times how I would like it cooked. The potato mash was half decent if you remove the soggy bland wedges that were drowning in it. When we told the waiter that we had been waiting almost an hour, he reiterated what we already knew "oh you're waiting an hour" and left without so much as an apology.
Had breakfast here, ordering a full English breakfast. The quality if the food was decent, but the seating leaves a lot to be desired. Also, the wait time for food is generally slow.
Coffee was cold, waited over half an hour for food, wait staff were rude, soggy bread, florentines were good.
