I had a nightmare experience with my 2013 Ford Ranger when they fitted new springs and struts to the front end. The final price was way over the price they quoted (but they did give cash back after arguing) because they had trouble fitting the new suspension. They did not tighten both top shock absorber mounting bolts and even more extraordinary was that they left ALL CV joint boot clips undone. I was fortunate to find these problems straight away because, if I hadn't, the damage would have been horrendous. They fixed the problems the next day but it shouldn't have happened. The final nail was that over 6 months after everything was fixed, I found grease leaking from the front left CV boot - they inspected it and found it was split. A closer inspection showed it was most likely caused by a tool or implement (not a rock etc) as the damage was in two parallel lines about 13mm apart that ran across the boot (and not around the boot if it was stressed/faulty) They had removed the CV joint and the damage would have been done when trying to fit the suspension. Fortunately, Ford replaced the boot under warranty saying they would use "benefit of the doubt" and good will because the damage looked like it was caused by an object not a faulty part! I found the front counter people at Torquay Auto generally polite and friendly etc but the mechanic they say is a Mazda/BT50 specialist is negligent and slack from my really bad experience. I'm very happy to have this published under my name and defend the facts...Torquay Auto was fortunate that Ford agreed to replace the part under warranty as I would have pursued them for compensation due to damage caused by their negligence. Treat TAS with caution and check work if you are able!

The team at Torquay Auto Services are fantastic fixed my Subaru straight away even though that meant getting a part from Melbourne same day and had the car back to me by 5pm! It would have been a sad weekend with no car so thank you again for doing such a great service.
