The food and service here was absolutely amazing. We were seated at a large share table and even with others there was an abundance of room for us to have a decent distance from them. We looked at the menu before coming and the array of food was amazing, when arriving they had a newer menu and it was even better than the online one. So I couldn't have been happier. The place was a little loud for my liking, but due to the weather everyone was sitting inside out of the rain so that was definitely a contributing factor. I would have loved it the coffee cups were a little bit bigger, but the coffee itself was fantastic. Would definitely return and recommend.
Had the paddock breakfast and oat milk flat white. The meal has proper portion and the sauce is really nice that goes well with the sausage. The overall dining experience was great, staff are friendly. Keen to know what is the brand of hand sanitiser placed at front of the stores, it smells so good the aroma lingered the rest of the day!
We came here every Friday. I'm glad to give five stars to the the big breakfast which is named The Top Paddock. Only $25 with a large portion includ everything. The special tomato sauce in it has amazing taste, must have a try~
Popped in for a spontaneous brunch on Monday and had no issue finding a seat as a walk in. Sat outside to enjoy the sun and a bit of fresh air. Service was friendly and fast. I ordered the lamb as recommended by the staff, as I was tossing up between that and the noodles. The lamb was beautiful and fell apart at first touch. The choice of veggies complimented the lamb beautifully. Their toilets were amazing and clean. Only thing to keep in mind, as I visited with a friend, is that they don’t split bill.
The place has the best atmosphere for dining! I highly recommend the hotcake, it’s very delicious. But the drink isn’t that good, so maybe try more food than coffee.
Overrated given that Top Paddock has always been mentioned as one of the best brunch places in Melbourne. Our group ordered the lamb shoulder, chili scramble, hotcake and eggs benedict. I had the lamb shoulder, which was good but the veggies and basil cream that came with it didn't go well together. I didn't enjoy it. The chili eggs had no taste at all even though it was presented nicely. Had to put salt and pepper. No spice at all. Placed on a muffin that was so hard to slice! Very tough. Hotcake was drier than what we had before at their other restaurants. Eggs benedict was ok. Service was also not that good. I understand that during the pandemic that they are short staffed but our server was a bit grumpy. Willing to let that go...but overall, I think this place is just overrated and pricier than other better brunch places in Melbourne. Would recommend other places.
Brought to this cafe by relative I am an outoftowner. Really enjoyed the ambience relax and food. Coffee is good too. People have commented that the noise level is too high but I feel that it is no different from any other popular cafes. Choosing an outdoor table will be quieter. Hope that helps.Food: 5/5
We went here on a weekend for lunch and it was packed full of diners. Despite that, the friendly staff was able to find us a table after waiting for a bit so kudos to great service! It was worth the wait. We enjoyed the food pork belly and hotcakes and not to mention the coffee which was so good. Definitely a great place to have brunch or just have coffee. Highly recommended!
Finally got to one of Melbourne's most popular cafes. The highly raved Top Paddock. Great service team, warm hospitality and all smiles in spite of the crowd. We had to walk over to the bar to get someone to take our order. Not a deal breaker unlike some reviews below... Coffee was below average if we're being honest. Expected more. Hot chocolate was great though! Ordered the pork belly and the beef brisket. And my oh my, they are definitely better with food. It was delicious. Beef brisket was soft and tears like freshly baked bread. However, we think it can do with more flavour. Buns were toasted well. Fries were perfectly fried. Pork belly stole our hearts. If I wasn't fat, I would've ordered another portion. Love the glaze on the veggies and pork. Crackling was really crispy. Definitely a top choice for brunch if you're in the area!
Came for brunch! Thankfully there were seats available. Service was prompt and there was someone to get us seated and take our orders promptly. Coffee was not too bad and the food was excellent! Really like the entire vibes and atmosphere of the place as well. Worth a visit for sure.
