Here is the place for Northern Brisbane where buses and trains meet. There is the Shorncliffe line of train across the street. [Careful while crossing the Sandgate Road there. Cars, buses and trucks come from six different streets at that junction!]nnThen, there is the bus interchange. It has six bays with buses going in 27 different places from here. The Toombul shopping centre closed down but the bus interchange came back by popular demand. The locals petitioned the local members of the national and state parliaments to reopen the interchange.nnGenerally it is a decent place except some do not abide by the *no smoking* signs. Bathrooms can be smelly at times, especially in the hot summer months. You can see the train going to the airport see photo but you cannot take that from Toombul. You have to go south to catch it at other junctions.
Found a tequila bottle in the bathroom, always pee on the floor and buses LOVE to be late.nnI LOVE it when the buses arrive 10 minutes late or sometimes, never show up.
Well connected by many bus lines and the Tombull train station, this is a major bus Station with seats and toilet. Well thought out indeed! It is located at the Tombull shopping centre. No reason to drive for seniors at all! So convenient!!
Due to Translink wisdom only certain buses are mentioned on the electronic timetable in the air conditioned waiting room. To find about other buses you have to walk around the bus station in the heat looking for the right bus and reporting this faults and many like it, Translink think they are 100% faults free and if there was a fault they don't care and not interested in fixing it. Translink don't ask for feedback on issues, if you are not going to fix the issues.
Sometimes smells like a toilet while waiting for buses and lacks No Smoking signage as per the recent legislation for bus stops. But otherwise gets you where you want to go.
