Simple straight forward and easy pub grub for lunch. Waitress was superb, food came quickly, was decent. Amusing menu item names include "Oh Briehave" "Gordon Hamsey" pub was busy with locals and a pool table. Good atmosphere, maybe nice to have more choices but cannot fault it
It was a brilliant atmosphere. food was hot and fresh. Just outstanding. My sister and i said that we will be coming down every week.
Amazinf pub that has had a good make kver since the new owners in october. Food looked amazing and staff were great

Friendly and attentive staff Sunday lunch was faultless...everything was cooked to perfection Absolutely lovely!
We had a wonderful meal on the 22nd Dec at the Horse and Groom. The brie starter and salmon main were delicious. We held my Gran's wake there the next day. The staff had a wonderful buffet spread, had hot drinks available as and when and served us very quickly at the bar. They made a very difficult day a lot easier by taking care of everything. Thank you so very much!
The food is really good and well priced, though drinks prices are a bit steep - more city centre prices than out of city cost, which probably explains why it is always fairly quiet. Staff in the evenings are great, pleasant and really helpful and the regulars are always welcoming - great place
Fantastic breakfast, very welcoming, quick service. Breakfast £5 or you can double up for £7. My uncle said fried bread was brilliant. Very filling, couldn't eat my last bit of toast.
Really lovely friendly pub and great food.
