Beautiful walks not far from the city to take your dog on leash. There’s quite a few routes from the main picnic area to choose from, with the main route being paved and suitable for strollers of wheelchairs. Lots of bird life to see within the forest park, and most of the routes are shaded. A few lookouts and small playground areas within.
Beautiful park with many trails. Some trails are shared while some are solely for walking. A small section is closed but majority of the park is still open. Some of the shared trails can be a bit steep so wear proper footwear.
Sometimes a little hard to find a park, but a lovely bush area which you can choose concrete pathway or forest track. You can walk your dog on leash there too. Here's native wattle I think there
This is a nice trail in Toohey forest reserve area. The trail has asphalt roads for bikers / walkers. The signage are good. Not much slopes and easy walk for dogs too.
A great experience walking the trails. Bring comfortable shoes and wear chaff proof pants. Friendly dogs allowed.
A great sanctuary amongst suburbia, yet to spot a koala there but I have been told they hide well.
Great area to go for a run. Some tracks closed, but lots of alternatives. Can also link up the Mt Gravatt lookup.
Two koalas spotted on our Saturday walk 27/08/22 which is a PB, plenty of good walking tracks to choose from.
Love the fact that you are in the centre of a city & have all this beautiful space & bush in which to hike or walk. You can take your dog & there are good city views on some tracks. Cyclists are supposed to stay on designated tracks only, which they do not!! so walkers sometimes manage to get a pleasant stroll without the hassles of trying to dodge them. There still seems to be the occasional rule breakers though which council should be looking into. We have sighted the occasional koala, lizards, snakes & powerful owls . Restrooms: There are restrooms available at main entrance off Toohey Road Dog-friendliness: Dogs allowed on leash Picnic area: Some covered picnic areas Toohey Road entrance
This is the most incredible park in the mid southern suburbs of Brisbane. Has a lot of wildlife, koalas, spotted owls, big goannas etc, beautiful trees, some are huge. It's a relaxing place.
