Honestly, sad to say we weren’t a big fan of this restaurant. The meat quality was very average/poor and the service was pretty average too. We didn’t like that there wasn’t enough time to eat our food because it was pushed to the side and the next thing was slapped on. We felt rushed to eat by the waitress who was also in a rush cooking everyone’s meals at once. We liked the nice and clean and the bbq grill was very unique/cool looking!
Great Korean barbecue spot for small groups! We came on a weeknight at 9pm for a late dinner, and the place was still quite busy. They change the charcoal grill plates quite regularly, which is good. And the quality of the meats were great. I had the CRISPIEST kimchi pancake of my life, seriously would go back again just for that. One small downside was they ran out of rice was cooking some more and our rice only arrived at the end of our meal. Understandable though since group after group arrived after us, the staff were flat out. Cash payments get a small discount!
Toodouri is a very unique kbbq When grilling the meat, there's a very distinct charcoal flavour. It was very enjoyable , so enjoyable that we came back for the second time within a week. However, on the second time, we decided to get the seafood pancake and tteokbokki. Unfortunately, we didn't enjoy the seafood pancake as much. It was too thick, battery, and soggy. No crispiness to the pancake. The tteokbokki was pretty okay, but not outstanding. But ending it on a good note, we really enjoyed the cold noodles. We'd definitely come back again for the meat sets and noodles.
First meal out of lockdown and it didn’t disappoint! The venue has a very traditional kbbq restaurant feel. With everything from the decor, tables and service reminding me of Korea! The staff were friendly and hard working. All the food was tasty and cooked well, though the meat quality for some of the pieces were average. Overall a good kbbq option in the cbd area.
Set meals are good value for money. Pork belly is the go-to order, beef doesn’t taste as good as their pork.
We ordered a two-ppl set beef, pork belly and a soup and a seafood pancake. The food is on average standard. What we didn't appreciate was the service provided by the waitress and her ignorance of hygiene. The youngest waitress always put the thongs directly on the table after using it for us. I just wonder how difficult it is to put on the stove or a plate. What surprised me the most was she even used the thongs to flip the cooked meat right after touching the raw pork. Horrific! She was always in a rush cooking the food for us even though there was still an hour to go before the restaurant was closed Maybe because we are the last table of customer?
Favourite KBBQ in Melbourne, hands down! Gotta have their pork belly, beef brisket, kimchi pancake and corn cheese. Good servings, side dishes always looked after and great service. :
Best authentic and tastiest Korean bbq I have ever had. I tried all the Korean bbq places in north Melb plus a few in cbd. There’s a lot of k bbq options in this area but I choose to go to Toodouri - every week. Number 1.
Pretty good Korean bbq place! The place is authentic style and the service was friendly and they cook your food for you, reasonable price.cheer.
Standard meat, price and atmosphere slightly dark and narrow. The place can be busy, so reservation is recommended. The reason for the 4 star is that our waitress was fantastic. We came as a big group, ordered many things time and again; and she smiled every single time she took our order. Great service.
