Very delicious breakfast and well presented. Great price as well. Wasn't keen on the hash brown as no flavour, but that's my taste buds and no reflection on the establishment.
Very disappointed with my experience today. I have been a regular customer here for many years, manager knows me by first name when I come in. They’ve recently changed the lids of their takeaway cups to something made from what looks like paper. This morning the lid for me and my partners hot drinks was faulty and as I got into my car and went to lift the cup up the lid came off and the cup dropped spilling all over the interior of the car, pooling in the front seat and all over the centre console. When I went back in and showed pictures to the manager and asked if they would share the cleaning cost with me he said it looks like an accident and it’s not their problem. I work in the hospitality consumables industry and if/when this happens to a customer both the cafe and the packaging supplier agree to split the cost to remedy immediately, but he didn’t want to entertain this idea at all. The replacement they made was with dairy milk not oat milk like my original order so I couldn’t even drink it and now I have to spend the day hunting down a seat shampooing service on a Sunday as it’s a company car. They’ve really made me feel like they don’t care about their long term regular customers so I won’t be coming here again. Completely ruined my morning.
Excellent and tasty food. Large portion. I swapped the bacon out for mushrooms to make it a vegetarian option. Coffee is great too. Hubby loved the mince on toast. Not greasy at all.
'A' food rating displayed. Beautifully presented food with generous portions. Lovely glimpse of Waitamata Harbour over a pocket of stunning native bush. Recommend to all.
The food was nice with reasonable price. Really enjoyed my time here!!
This is a cute cafe in Highbury. I had a delicious hot eggs benedict! And honestly the tastiest iced chai I've ever tasted. Thanks for a great lunch
Amazing brunch and perfect coffee
Located in Highbury, Birkenhead on Auckland's North Shore this spot was perfect for brunch after my Nephew's rugby game. The Staff were lovely and the corn fritters were amazing!
My partner and I used to come here religiously. Almost every Sunday. We noticed a new owner had taken over and upgraded menu. We were excited to try something new. I stuck with my blat and My partner tried the new beef burger. He spat his buger out and reached for the water. He told me there was way too much salt. I tasted it and the patty was way too over seasoned with salt. We politely told the waiter and she took the plate out back. We were then rudely approached by the owner, he said no refund because we have taken two bites from it spat out by the way, we showed him but that we could get a new burger made. We said, yes please that's all we wanted, not once did we mention a refund. New burger arrived, same exact thing. Owner said it was our problem because no one else had complained and NO refund. Make sure you know there are chefs cooking your food not just an owners son!
Loved their eggs Bene with salmon, avo and hash brown for $11. Lovely lady at the counter. Nice cold tap water. Great Allpress coffee $4 flat white. Just a nice place and I'm sitting by the window reading my book undisturbed. What celse can you ask for your Monday off?
