Was busy "ish" walked in found 5 bucks dropped it in the tips jar.. Mistake! ordered a few drinks service took a long time. Tourists orders were not taken or stopped half way through to take locals orders.. Sure look after the boys but no need to be rude to people passing trough town. Food was priced about right but took ages to get to the table. Tabe service is a Joke. All said and down I wouldn't go back but its a small town and it was open. Look else where first.. Enjoy the area it's amazing

Food was surprisingly good, but the service left something to be desired. The deserts were excellent and I had a really nice burger made fresh and the onion rings were perfect. But I honestly felt like we were bothering the staff the entire time we were there. It felt uncomfortable the whole time we were there. In truth, there aren't many options around, and if you do go I suspect you'll enjoy your meal. Just don't expect service with a smile.

Only bar in Waitomo. Good vista views of some classic Kiwi countryside. Great deck in the sun for throwing back some wet ones. However, as per other reviews the service is delayed and not good. They themselves understand food is as slow as getting the truth out of a politician and are willing to refund with apology. Though caving groups and a lot of tourists end up here so its no surprise for thr "kitchen being slammed" and on a regular basis. Bit unsatisfactory. This all said, the staff themselves are nice.

We came by for a pint and bar food before hitting the road after our glow work adventure. The food was decent but took forever to get. The service was rude and slow. I would suggest just hitting the road and looking elsewhere
