If you are looking for birds this is the place to go. Be aware of a large snake population and the possible need for a four wheel drive for some (not all) of the tracks - we went in summer with a family sedan, so the tracks were dry, but the underside of the car took a good beating due to not having enough clearance of vegetation or deep wheel ruts. But the array of birds was worth it. A very large variety and if you have the right equipment (eg. a good zoom lens), a lot of good photography is available. Be aware that part of the reserve is zoned for seasonal hunting.
