Edit September 2023: We did not find any waders, still plenty of birds to look at. Prime birdwatching area. There are about 20 hunting days and some prescribed burning, check before you go. Map is available next to the information board. It is accessible by 2WD but I would only recommend driving straight on from the info board to the camping area and back, also the boundary track turn left from entrance along two bays. The rest have reeds growing in the middle. Tracks are fine for 4WD. If you like birds and swamps, great. Otherwise there are better places to camp or kayak.
Good place for birdwatching .No toilets but there is a camping ground. Free to visit just pay for camping. Went back Sept 23 was a bit overgrown but different birds than last time.
Absolutely an amazing place to camp it is so peaceful would definitely be coming back again soon
Excellent water fowl habitat. Good for bird watching and it is open for hunting during the duck season. Needs to be very careful about the black liger snakes abundant in the area.
