THE most expensive butcher in Syd, ok if the meat was good but it isn’t. $47.70 for a 1.1kg silverside of below average quality.... go elsewhere.
A great butcher shop on Darling Street. Friendly, helpful service from all staff, and a great selection of products. Excellent sausages, pre-made things like kebabs and schnitzels, a great selection of dry-aged meats if that's your thing, and a large deli section with cheeses, antipasti and more. Yes it's pricier than the supermarket, but they offer excellent quality. Plus, there's that wonderful old-school butchers shop smell.
Staff are super proffesional and so lovely. Awesome selection of cheese, large range quality meats, a variety of different sauces, best fresh eggs in town for sure and let's not forget the equally important treats for the fur child - dog bones - one happy local shopper who would not go anywhere else.
Way overpriced. Bought two prime fillet steaks and some sausages and was charged $70. Both streaks were very average quality and fatty. One steak had two long hairs wrapped around it, very disappointing. The sausages were good but we will not be back.
Wonderful service Outstanding quality of meat. Yes not the cheapest but you would expect to pay more for the the best . Never had a ham this good . The beef fillet to die for .
There is no price tag displayed on each product. That means they can charge you whatever they want. When checking out, the price was way over the top, compared to other good butchers in more expensive Sydney suburbs. Very disappointing.
Wow the rib eye off the bone was the best I've ever had. A little more expensive then your average supermarket or wholesale meat however the quality supersedes any supermarket or even wholesale quality.
Over-priced. $50kg seemed a common price for red meats. Sausage range looks good.
The chicken kiev was rancid. What's worse is the butcher already knew it was rancid when I went back to return it. I wonder if when their chicken breast is approaching end of shelf life, they make kievs out of it and keep it for a few more days.
The billtong is a great price and not too wet or chewy, the owner often has cookouts out the front handing out free sausages, great bunch
