Story

We are a small private practice offering a personal service to support families who have children with communication difficulties. We are a group of experienced speech pathologists with a specific interest in working with children.

We have a lovely, bright, child-friendly office in Sumner and we also see children from a cottage in a beautiful setting in Pullenvale.

Our principal, Sharon Powell, has worked as a speech pathologist for over 20 years in both the UK and Australia. She has operated her private practice in Brisbane since 2003.

We work with children who have difficulties in the following areas:

using speech sounds (clarity of speech)
onset of language (late talkers)
understanding or using vocabulary
using grammar or sentences
listening and attention & auditory memory
understanding concepts
stuttering
remembering &/or following instructions
spelling and reading (awareness of sounds in words)

* We also provide a range of services for families of children with autism spectrum disorders
