One of a kind place. Made me feel like I was in Italy with the mafia in a good way. Hot chocolate was pretty average. Coffee also average. Atmosphere is the main reason to come here.
Every time I come back here it reminds me of when I was young in high school. The ambiance is much the same. The New York cheese cake and chai tea are the same for the last 10 plus years. Bit pricey but like everywhere else what’s new. Had a lovely afternoon tea with my kids.
Consistent food, coffee, liquor & thoughtful service since 1984. Biggish venue with NY-style brass & dark chocolate-coloured paint offset by live greenery. Occasional live jazz. At other times, jazz classics through a superlative sound system. The playlist is relaxing & conducive to conversation, thought, card games & if the mood strikes writing. Outdoor seating mainly covered. No wifi but phone signal good. Recently updated toilet facilties.
My review in 2022:nWas so good!!! You can tell the staff take pride in their work and want to be there. They were friendly and fast. The food was delicious. You can order by the QR code at the table or at the counter. I would definitely go back. Probably not have the English muffin thing again as that was a bit heavy but the other stuff looked great! Milkshake was really good.nn2023:nWould I come back here?n.n.n.nYes.nSuch a nice vibe and the staff are so lovely.nWe came for breakfast. I don't feel that The Sunday Morning meal was worth $26 and the Short Stack pancakes weren't anything to celebrate. But overall, I enjoyed it and would come back.
What a great start to a Sunday!nnTilley‘S has a fantastic atmosphere and great selection of cakes.nnOverall, the service was ok. We asked for a cake to be warmed, and it arrived stone cold.
