We recently had lunch at Tiamo in Carlton, and it was fantastic. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff made us feel right at home. The menu offered a range of traditional Italian dishes.nnWe started with the antipasto and chips, which were the perfect way to begin our meal. For the main courses, we had the risotto, gnocchi, lasagna, and spaghetti marinara. Each dish had fresh ingredients and were cooked to perfection.nnThe service was attentive, and we didn't feel rushed at all. The prices were reasonable, considering the quality of the food and the overall dining experience.nnIf you're in Carlton and looking for a great Italian lunch spot, Tiamo is definitely worth a visit.
Some of our favourite Italian food!nThe pizza is always wonderful, the go to Fungi pizza was great and the caprese special was light and tasty!nCaesar salad was nice, well flavoured with plenty of Parmesan.nThe pasta was a little under salted, but the meat was soft.nWe will return again.
The Penne Al Ragu and Eggplant Parmigiana were really good. Ordered Quattro Funghi pizza, generous mushroom topping but a bit salty to our liking - maybe bcos of the cheese. Overall, good food and nice ambience... definitely worth a visit.
Came for dinner on a Monday night before the new year, and there was quite a bit of a queue.nnThe food was great, but sitting outside on the side closest to the street, we didn’t want to stay for long because of the constant car noises and fumes.nnNot a fault of the restaurant, but I just wouldn’t come back and sit outside again
the place is on the upper street of carlton and if you are looking for a place that doesn’t have a long queue come here as the food is equally as good if not betternnwe ordered the seafood pasta with white wine sauce and the combination with olive oil was so flavourful and was filled with seafood.nnthe place is also extremely well decorated giving the place a very authentic Italian feel with the posters and other decorative items they have around the place.
