Thornbury Church of Christ is situated 10 kms from Melbourne's C.B.D. It was established in 1921, having continuous Christian ministry to the region.

Story

Welcome to the friendly church on the corner.
Our service times are 10am Sundays except for the 4th Sunday of the month where we have a bible study at 10:30am followed by a community lunch at 12:30pm and everyone is welcome. See our what's on for the month or check out the calendar for any changes.

We see ourselves as a community of people who gather in obedience to God’s call to all people. This is expressed in a couple of ways:
We understand ourselves as shaped by the Biblical stories, that call us to be Christ-centred, holy, and prayerful.
We see this life as expressing itself through the way we organize and operate:
Serving others through caring for people and their needs,
Being relevant and Kingdom-focused so that we are better-equipped to address the issues that are confronting us and the wider community, and
Educating and equipping our members to use their gifts in service and witness to our wider community.
We aim to be a dynamic church that hungers and thirsts for God through prayers, praises, training and support to serve the wider community at home and in the world.
