Everyone's palette is different and unfortunately not everything was to my liking, so thats my 3 stars. I found it to be overpowering with the sweet smokey BBQ taste but that might be how its supposed to taste. I haven't had much brisket elsewhere. The meats itself was very tender and nicely cooked. We ordered the platter and the portion was plenty though. We had to take away the rest. Can't complain about the service. Staff was very nice and attentive.
Third Wave Cafe is an absolute meat lover’s paradise. We came during dinner time and decided to share one of their famous meat platters between five of us. Safe to say — it was huge. The portion was more than generous and definitely big enough to feed five big boys comfortably.nnThe platter came loaded with a variety of perfectly cooked meats, each one juicy, smoky, and packed with flavor. The brisket was tender, the ribs fell off the bone, and the sausages had a great snap and seasoning. Every bite felt hearty and satisfying.nnThe atmosphere was lively and perfect for a group dinner. Service was friendly and efficient, even during the busy dinner rush. If you’re coming with a group and serious appetites, the meat platter is the way to go. Highly recommended for anyone craving a proper feast.
The beef ribs were the standout of the meal—tender, rich, and full of flavor. They paired beautifully with the pickled vegetables, which added a welcome brightness, and the horseradish sauce brought a bold, satisfying kick. The cornbread didn’t quite shine for me, leaning a bit dry, but it was a small miss in an otherwise strong lineup.nThe “Oh Mamma” burger absolutely delivered on juiciness and portion size, and while it was well made, it’s probably not something I’d order again simply because the ribs stole the show. Dessert was a lighter note: the key lime pie was a modest slice and a bit underwhelming, lacking the punchy citrus finish I was hoping for.nWhat truly elevated the experience was the wait staff—attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming throughout the meal. Tap beer tad too pricey but they also have a standout milkshake menu! One downside came before arriving: the automated AI phone system for reservations felt impersonal and frustrating. Once seated, though, the service and standout dishes made the visit well worth it.
I wasn’t expecting too much from the veg options but they blew my mind. The edgy veggie burger is delicious and highly recommended for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. The fries were crispy and the cocktail menu is amazing too. I really enjoyed the fruit tingle. Cornbread and spicy mac and cheese were pretty good. Their key lime pie is rich and tasty. 10/10 service.
The food is absolutely delicious! Just had dinner here under a first table booking. Definitely made it significantly cheaper however was disappointing that we couldn't get the happy hour prices on the cocktails but all good. The team are friendly and the establishment is very clean and well presented. Definitely coming back on a Tuesday for the all you can eat
