The Food Court at Crown can be hectic crazy on a Sunday with tourists and locals alike ready to devour from a wide selection of global flavours. I recently ate at the Tasty Asian and had the beef with noodles. Frankly it was okay - wouldn’t expect much more. The portion size was good and the food was tasty but just a little gluggy. There are certainly many choices and my colleague had the salt and pepper calamari which she said was a little chewy. With so many choices here, it’s worth taking your time to find what’s right for you. With the amount of people buying food you can be assured it’s fresh. Wheelchair accessible. Kid friendly. Highchairs available. Takeaway available. Accessible by car, tram, train and taxi. Don’t forget to enjoy the views out the front of the food court. Red helicopter taking off credibly attracted a lot of attention. d e b i
I ordered satay beef with fried rice. It was delicious. Worth a try. It was A$10.5 for small portion.
Ordered a nasi lemak. When I received the meal, I looked it over and it did not look appetising. One staff member saw me looking it over and she looked puzzled, so I mentioned the lack of meat on the chicken and that I was given a fried egg instead of hard boiled as shown on the menuboard photo. She looked baffled and looked over at another staff member, who I then repeated myself to. He said that it's standard. Neither offered to even address either of these two issues, with the first staff member only stating, "It's good!" I left and tried the food, hoping it at least tasted good. Coconut rice was too salty - first time in my life that I didn't finish eating the coconut rice in a nasi lemak meal. Ikan bilis fried anchovies was low quality, not crispy, and soggy with oil. Chicken curry sauce didn't taste like curry. Chicken cuts were what I would use only in making soup stock, mostly bone and hardly any meat. Didn't even give any sambal. Portion was a very decent size, but I didn't finish even a quarter of it. The roasted peanuts and sliced cucumber were ok hard to go wrong anyway, and the spoonful amount of pickled vegetable helped to cut the saltiness of the rice. I can understand this is just a food court shop, but I've had nasi lemak from street stalls and corner shops in Malaysia where you would expect worse standards taste better and give you much better cuts of chicken. As a Malaysian, this is the worst nasi lemak I've had in my life, and prompted me to give my first Google review.
Just had fried rice, lemon chicken and chicken with vegetables. All were the worst I’ve had for some time. The chicken included bits of gristle. The lemon chicken was over cooked and the batter hard. We ate at the start of the lunch as the lunchtime rush kicked in so no excuse such as food sitting around too long. Very disappointing.
Amazing food and average price. Visit for quick food. Picks fry rice and honey chicken. Rice was nice warm and chicken was tasty. It’s great option when you are running late and hungry too. Recommend!
Tasty food at a good price. Great for a quick bite.
I had Nasi Goreng in Feb 2020 and it was disgusting!! I tipped out the horrible chicken and other ingredients and ended up with an expensive fried rice. The rest went in the bin. Say no more ...
Needed a quick lunch before watching a movie and decided to give Think Asia a go. BIG MISTAKE We had the Thai Basil Beef and Pepper Chicken The beef was like rubber, no joke!! The chicken must have come from it backside it was so bad!! Safe to say we'll never be going back again!
Very nice freshly fried crumbed chicken ribs and dim sim, although a little too salty. Lots of other dishes on offer, friendly staff and quick service.
The WORST asian food ever! i order Nasi lemak! rice was super dry, i think they reheat too long! i want to give ZERO star! food look not appetizing at all.
