So disappointing that a company as large as this has the worst reputation as an employer. It was once my hearts desire to work for Thiess as an accountant, only to realize they have zero duty of care and sweep all bullying issues under the rug. I know this first hand from what my son and a fellow work colleagues who are going through it as I am writing this. To the point where one thought that committing suicide was their only option before realizing that even though their “bread n butter” would be seriously affected they ended up having to walk away. The supervisor and superintendent in question response was “it’s the industry” how very sad indeed and negligent to say the least. When brought to the attention of HR again it was swept under the rug. Maybe a legal action against this horrid company is what would be necessary to wake it up.
What is said and what is done, are 2 very different things. If you want a broad range of opinions then check sites like "455network" and "word on the haulroad" These are people who have experience working in the industry with a range of different mining companies and cultures. You will soon get the idea.
Horrible company to work with.
