I had a lamb shoulder yiros combo, the meat was perfectly cooked, could of had more tomato and onion on it the yoghurt sauce was really nice pita bread was nice and fresh. The hot chips were not that hot just on the warm side I also had feta and Oregano on the chips which was really nice. I do recommend The Yiros Shop for having a nice feed.
If you had better portion sizes it would be 5 stars, as the food itself is very tasty, but the portions of meat are not on, thats a tiny amount of meat in the picture, probably 1 mouth full. We got 2 loaded fried, 1 normal chips and 1 sweet potato. They are same price $16 or $17 each, but the normal chips box is twice the size of the sweet potato box. I would expect to pay $16 for a lunch that it fills me, so thats a rip off.
Appalling portion sizes now. XL has shrunk and become jokingly like a regular. Charging $15 for this is ridiculous. When I asked a staff member, they said it's got the right fillings and the size is just how it is, with little remorse. Pathetic, never coming back.
Probably more of a mid-high 3 but rounded up to 4 on this system. Food was a touch pricier than I was expecting, so good thing I had an Eat Club discount to take the edge off. Yiros are reasonably filling due to the carbs in the pita bread and chips. I'm not sure we got all the sauces that were ordered but no biggie overall taste was still decent, and the pooling of yiros juices at the bottom didn't really need any more moisture. Also got a salad that was meant to be a salad in the meal combo but ended up being a separate build a salad. Probably a bit of miscommunication due to masks? Anyway that Halloumi and rocket salad with beetroot turned out to be the most impressive element of the meal
Ordered one yiros, small chips and a small snack box for almost $60, via Doordash. EVERY item arrived cold, EXCEPT the included drink, which was warm not even remotely been near a fridge warm, too. Pictured is the small snack box, which cost $20, with a wooden disposable fork for size comparison. Absolute rip off, and never going near them again. $20 for some chips, a sprinkle of feta and five shreds of chicken... In a hamburger box? That's fraud or theft. Take your pick.
OMG, yum! Loved the yiros, finished off with Greek Donuts. Do yourself a favour a check this place out!
This place has really gone downhill recently. It used to be my go-to lunch, now it's my don't-go-to. Small, medium and XL are all the same size, don't get ripped off! Enjoy soggy unseasoned chips with a side of IbisFood: 1/5
No grilled pork option which is most common meat in gyros in Greece. XL size was regular at best. Chicken version tasted great.Food: 3/5
Overpriced, small portion and badly made. I ordered the large chips and it came half full. The classic pita bread was soggy and undercooked. Total waste of money and clearly no care taken by the staff who made it.
Honestly and half of Brisbane Reddit agrees with me here this is the best place of the two South Bank food streets. The sauces are stupendous. Honestly the lamb is pretty stinkin' amazing. Also a fan of the beef. Not a fan of the halloumi fries those were dry and bland. This place is kills.Food: 5/5
