This place is a great museum gift shop and hardware store all in one,
Bucket list place to go and fully lived up to expectations. It's a full functioning hardware store with displays spread throughout. If it were just a museum, or just a hardware shop, either way it would be fantastic. But fortunately its both! As far as hardware shops go it is truly extensive, and the addition of plenty of classic, history and famous bikes and cars just makes it brilliant. Cafe is great too. Such an eclectic place! Obviously Burt Monro's artifacts and history try to get a hold of Ben, he knows the whole story plus funny anecdotes and word! but also lots of vintage tools, lathes, sewing machines, motorcycles and cars!! On top of all that, this is the best supplied hardware store I've ever seen, I may have to move to Invercargill for this store alone
