Nice atmosphere, stuff is super friendly, no competition around, it’s the only restaurant in miles. Don’t forget to book a place. Food is mediocre. A bit homey. Steak is not good. Chewy. But they really try.
Great atmosphere, friendly staff. Amazing view of Rawnsley’s bluff. Food is great, not a massive variety, but quality offerings. Premium price matches taste. Reasonable portions without being large. Went with a cocktail, very delicious and good quality for reasonable price. If drinking more, happy hour is a must.
What an incredible surprise! My husband was saying how we can cook from home & make amazing food without having to dine out. And then walked into Woolshed & was pleasantly surprised! Out in the middle of nowhere & you are at the mercy of the only resturant around for miles & then BOOM! Hello five star chef, who just had every morsel on that plate planned & staged! Had a steak & mash with brocolini & wedges that I shared with the hubs... delish! And then what the heck, lets try the dessert... Strawberry custard tart you say with wattleseed ice cream, yes please!
I love it! During my holidays I ate every night in this restaurant and it was amazing! The manager was fantastic and all the staff as well. I truly recommend!!!
Great service from an international group of staff. Interesting menu, changing regularly and always well cooked. Dessert a delightful creme brulee to finish a delicious meal. Recommended.
There was only one vegan option, but it was sublime. I would definitely recommend this place. It was a veggie tagine with saffron rice AND Turkish bread. I enjoyed it immensely!Food: 5/5
Delicious dinner! We ordered the lamb tasting plant with a side of roast vegetables. The waitress was lovely and attentive. We sat on the deck and watched how the colour changed on the rocks - it was amazing and romantic. Desserts were fantastic too. Must pre-book for dinner but highly recommend this place.
Have been coming to Rawnsley Park for the past 20 years, multiple times bringing friends and family members from overseas to visit this amazing part of the world and stay at this fantastically run resort. Loved popping over to the Woolshed for a couple of beers to enjoy the sunset over the Bluff and having that special meal in such a lovely environment. However after arriving today after a long drive from Broken with some friends from Queensland we checked in and popped over to have a cold beer on the verandah. We were greeted by a surly and aggressive server who asked if we had a reservation. When we said no and we merely wanted to have a beer he abruptly stated that would not be possible. Surprised, we asked if we just have a beer on the verandah no dining tables on the verandah just said no. Made all of the group feel really belittled and dismissed a really negative experience , no attempt at compromise and a place that i valued so much has become so impersonal. Have recommended so may people to come to rawnsley park because of the woolshed but not any more. The irony is we were going to book a table for tomorrow night. Well guess what. So sad from what I witnessed tonight
We have had 3 great meals here. 2 nights sit down dinner at an inside table and 1 night takeout pizza. Great service all the time. Beautiful restaurant, awesome view and the kids love running around outside.
Great looking and amazing views. However unfortunatley food was very expensive and not very good. Meals also took over an hour to come out with no apology or checkin. $96 for a lamb tasting platter for two and was extremely overcooked.
