Great pub in the Adelaide Hills. Go there if you want a good old fashioned pub lunch.nnBoth the quality and size of the meals was amazing. It’s so nice to go to a pub that still provides table service, which seems to be disappearing from city pubs. The staff were friendly, service was quick and the food met all expectations. We didn’t have desserts but the ones served to the table next to us looked delicious. The menu had plenty of options.nnThe open fire is a nice touch in the dining room.nnIf we had to pick anything, the decor needs a bit of updating but overall not too bad.
Best country pub meal I've had for ages. The better half had the Atlantic Salmon and holy batfish the skin was perfection!! I had the porterhouse schnitzel and from the golden crumb to the melt in your mouth meat, the whole dish was superb! Fantastic table service that paired excellently with the precisely timed delivery from the kitchen. The Woodside Hotel is one of the hills best kept secrets.
Finally had meal in this wonderful Adelaide Hills pub. The table service was awesome and friendly. The old charm in the dining room is great to see. The food was superb and well priced. I had the Woody Burger which is the best burger I've ever had and my partner had the chicken parmi which was tasty and a good size. We'll definitely be back for another meal soon. The front bar is also a favourite of ours as it's relaxing and the owners and staff are super friendly
We visit regularly for dinner as the food and service is always superb but the pub itself is old and tired and in desperate need of a good spruce up - nothing too fancy, even a coat of paint to freshen it up perhaps.
Used to love having dinner at this pub. Don't know what's happened to it but after the meal I had earlier this week, I won't be back. Entrees were brought out with the mains - what's that about? Haloumi chips garnished with wilted, yellowing & in some parts black and slimy microgreens that were difficult to pick off. Garlic prawns for some reason heavily crumbed, served with half-cooked crunchy white rice & a congealed sauce that had no garlic flavour. Minimal vegetarian options - they used to make the most delicious field mushrooms with pesto & feta. Such a shame. Was really looking forward to a night off from the kitchen & eating something better than I can make myself.
