After getting "allocated" the job of finding a good restaurant, for a work function, I called around and did some research. Considering we had a group of 85 people, the ruled a number of restaurants out, simply on the capacity or size of the venue. After considering the various different options around the local area, we decided on the White Swan. On the special day, - the food was great! Tasty and satisfying; - the decor was inviting and enchanting; - the staff were darling and looked after us all well; - and it all came in on budget. So great value really. Thanks again, everyone had a great time!
Dined there recently and would advise people to avoid this place. Waiters had no idea what was even on their menu. The room was freezing cold. Ordered salmon which was over cooked, not fresh and the skin soggy and uncooked. A family member ordered the seafood platter for $150 which I might add was completely over priced with an off crab. Owner was confused when we told him to smell the crab and in my opinion has no clue about what fresh seafood is meant to look, smell or taste like. Restaurant needs a complete overhaul and a menu that works well together.
As a family or with friends, we find the White Swan to be an excellent venue, either for a budget lunch or a full scale dinner. The chef and his staff are really to cool, the service is great, the décor is good for setting the mood. The only problem for some would be the stairs at the entry, but entry is worth the effort.
Just left in discussed. 1 hour and 40 min all we got was one drink each and an ontray of 6 oyster kilpatricks betweem 4 people. missed the movie we wanted to go see as well. Have eaten here before and loved it but will never go back now for it was the worst service we have ever experienced Sorry to see a place go down hill like it has
not a great experience, the place really needs to be fixed up. The staff were grunting and acting like they didnt want to be there and the food took so long to come out, at least it was hot.
went there last week - it has changed ownership and is disgusting - cockroaches on the walls one even falling on one of our gues's heads - food was terrible, service was terrible just one horrible experience and will never go there again. This place needs to be closed down by health authorities.
Tried to book using a LivingSocial Voucher. Told restaurant was being painted that week. Made a later booking but when turned up, restaurant closed. Gone out of business??? If not, it should have. Needs a Nil star review.
To expensive and better restaurants To say that it's great would be a lie its extremely overpriced and the portions aren't that great. They feel like it's a burdened to serve sometimes when i was there.
Worst place ever to eat got the Groupon voucher. Could of had a better meal at home or at Rashays !!! They are definitely letting Groupon down always swear by Groupon but not for this place .
Raw basa fillet. Green tea did not arrive. >30 min wait for lunch.
