Sea views from some rooms, in the heart of Narooma, short walk to the water and shops, hilly so be aware. Pool with a beautiful view and BBQ and restaurant. Pet friendly.

Can't best this view, hotel is tired but still great beds and pillows really comfortable. Been coming back for 30 years that says something. Did I mention the view?Rooms: 4/5

Expectation was met, and the hype was truly justified. Amazing food and incredible flavours. Totally attentive staff. A fantastic evening with lovely people. We will be back, for another dining experience. The Whale lives again, and looking around the room was full of locals enjoying the atmosphere, food and wine.

Accomodation just ok. It needs the revamp asap! Queen Chow restaurant tragic. Ordered the Special Pippies but then told they did not have any. 1 hour to wait for entree our first meal. Other tables around us were served their food before us yet we were seated and had ordered 30 mins or more before them. 2 dishes were inedible. Fried rice dry and rice not rinsed. Salt and pepper squid extremely salty with no pepper and undercooked ie batter white and gluggy in parts. Sweet and sour pork was tasty but the pieces of pork were giant sized and we had to cut each piece 3 times to fit it in our mouths.They ran out of the cocktail that we had 1 glass of! Some dishes were good though. But overall we cannot recommend it due to poor service, long wait for food and apparently a high end restaurant running out of a cocktail! No apologies. Unheard of. Not up to Merivale standards. We wont be going back.

Had the most amazing night at The Whale in. In the most magical setting with exceptional food to die for. Thank you Jordan in particular for spoiling us with cocktails. He is a wizard. Also a big shout out to Gemma and staff for your awesome service. Bloody legends! Narooma definitely is lucky to have such a beautiful addition.Service: 5/5

Great motel - allows dogs. Big room and good bathroom. Near a top pub for dinner. Nice walks about. Easy access. Awesome views. Worth a thought if you are in this area.

Lovely little pet and budget friendly motel close to everything in Narooma. Staff were friendly and happily supplied us with more delicious home made peanut butter cookies for our son. Room was neat and smelled clean. Will definitely be staying again on our next trip. Thanks Kathy, Darren and Max

We brought a group of seniors for two nights and I just want to thank the team for all of their hospitality. The food was amazing, locally sourced and cooked to perfection; the decor was charming and the service was beyond reproach. Narooma is a gorgeous little town with breathtaking oceanviews and very welcoming residents so you would be hard pressed to have a negative experience here, but The Whale Inn really sets itself apart with their customer focus and attention to detail. I would like to thank Kim, Libby and the rest of the team for all of their care and attention during our stay; a group of seniors can be particular at the best of times but the team took it all in their stride and delivered above and beyond!
