About

The Friendliest Marina

"The multi-award winning Waterline Restaurant is situated on the waters edge at Keppel Bay Marina. Our menus showcase the best local beef, seafood and local produce. The owners of the Waterline Restaurant have their own cattle station in Banana, Central Queensland, and it is there we get our name for the best mouth watering Banana Beef dishes. Our seafood is sourced from the local fish shop only 150m from the restaurant - now that's fresh! Known for the friendly staff and delicious meals, The Waterline Restaurant is a must when visiting the Capricorn Coast."

I absolutely love the multicultural food served here. I brought my golden retriever daisy with me for breakfast, there was a dog bowl with fresh water. Staff are very friendly, ordering is easy from the table. I had the Okonomiyaki breakfast and it was so tasty and full of flavour, great chef!
We walked past this place with a lovely waterfront view and decided to sit down for a couple of drinks. We ordered from the MrYum code on the table, only to find out 10 minutes later from a waitress that all the outdoor tables were reserved. Unfortunately whoever had set the table had covered the reserved sign with a “Do Not Feed The Seagulls” sign. We ended up being told we could have the table for an hour anyway, so I’m not sure what the point was of making us feel uncomfortable for choosing this place for a drink. The mango daiquiri was delicious, and the view was lovely, but some staff may need some guidance on their hospitality. Finding out when the booking was before coming to talk to us would have made things far less uncomfortable.
Super accommodating of my allergies to give me a safe meal dining out and pet friendly, so the furbabies got to join us. My son took me here for my 40th birthday dinner. As Google won't let me post another review I shall add it here. I recently returned to The Waterline on Saturday May 7th whilst out with some ladies for International Female Ride Day. The Waterline had squeezed our booking in late minute for 10 people however the rain kept a good portion of those away and just 4 of us attended which I notified the restaurant of as well as our need to arrive earlier just a few hours prior to our actual booking. Yet again the staff went above and beyond to ensure this could happen on a busy Saturday day before Mother's Day. I had the eye fillet without the prawns due to anaphylaxis and GF I'm Coeliac and absolutely adored my meal, the steak was cooked perfectly as well. The only niggle was a wish from the other Coeliac person at the table that the chicken on the GF chicken burger be cooked in a similar coating to the non-GF version and that hot chips be available from a separate fryer to allow safe consumption this could also be used for any other GF alternative menu item as well. All in all we all enjoyed our meals and most of us have indicated we will return again. Thanks again!
Best view. Staff are always friendly. Food is always delicious & fresh. Wise to book during holiday season.Food: 5/5
We enjoyed our meal immensely. Simply delicious! Delightful friendly ever so helpful staff. Nearly a year later and we're still enjoying our meals here. This time I tried the green salad with chicken, yum!
Beautiful tasty food ,excellent service very friendly wonderful coffee nice relaxed
Beautiful food, good coffee & friendly staff great views
Worth noting when ordering it's apparently now mandatory to specify that you expect entrees to be served appropriately before main courses even if you order at the counter. Otherwise everything will arrive at the same time and if you question this unexpected arrangement you'll then be told that the waitress has been instructed to deliver everything at once. Food is good but attitude of supervisor both unprofessional and rude. I dared to say that it was a bit of an embarrassing situation not enough room on the table for the deluge of food which arrived after a 50 minute wait as we had interstate guests. The supervisor's response "I'm not embarrassed at all" I suggest that the management should be embarrassed and definitely consider further staff training.
Very nice location to sit, relax and wait for your coffee and cakes or food. It can be hard to get a table at times so be prepared and try to book ahead. The food and drinks are reasonably priced and the coffee is nice. The only negative can be the wait time, but for me not a big one.
Really enjoyed the relaxing Sunday afternoon, enjoying the view and listening to some live music. Food was excellent and service friendly and attentive.
