Timaru Warehouse is a good place to shop, but it's badly let down by the bulchy older checkout ladies. We avoid them. Very bosy and argumentitive. It's always a pleasure when we find we are shopping there on their day off.
Usually have the items I'm after,nCan walk the isles for something to do, staff happy to help if you approach them, they now offer fresh produce such as fruit, vegetables, and dairy products
Good things to buy. Clothing or school stuffs
Shift manager CHAYA was the most rudest warehouse customer service manager I ever met. She didn't answer our queries properly inspite of us having purchased items worth more than $450. She should be fired. When asked about her manager to place complaint, she denied saying do whatever you want.
I have had a few bad experiences at The Warehouse Timaru. I recently bought a loaf and bread and a few other grocery items and a tin of Tomato sauce.White i do quite regularly. When the young girl served me she packed the bag and unfortunately when I got home the fresh bread purchased was half squashed flat because she had put the tin of sauce on top of the fresh bread. most disappointing. Went back to the store and produced the evidence but told to come back and talk to a manager. Unfortunately i was way too busy to be able to do that as I work in retail and it was the week before Christmas. Staff need to be taught how to pack basic items to avoid this happening.! I wen to the store today to swap an item that u i purchased that was a Christmas gift and was really needed. The receipt was produced and I went to find the size that was requested by the person I bought the gift for and then they said it would cost an extra $10.50. It was the same product and all sizes were the same price and I wanted to gift exchange and i was asked to pay extra when did that become a thing. it was bought the week of Christmas. I had to leave without the gift and let the person down. i just don't get how they could do that. So confusing. Just on principal I didn't feel it right that i needed to pay the extra. i have Never had that happen in retail before and I have been in retail for 30 years. So surprised and disappointed! I was also in there to buy some Vogel's and I just thought i should check the dates and they expired yesterday 29 December, wow out of date bread. Not ideal. It needs to have a least a few days left. I asked the young lady serving me to advise the grocery manager. I wish I had spoken to a manger before I left without the pant's I needed to give to the person I purchased and gifted for Christmas, feeling sad about that. squashed useless bread and my favourite loaf of Vogel's out of date. Come on Warehouse this isn't good enough. I doesn't encourage me to come back that for sure and I wont be recommending other to shop their either.
