I wanna give a 3.5 but there is no half point system here. Went there on a weekend last month. Highly recommend for a afternoon break with friends and family, quiet environment and great decors for taking nice photos. Ambience: - Loving the seating arrangement! Social distancing was maintained, therefore space and scale was fine - noise level was okay, some kids but not disturbing at all; Food: - Too salty - Loved the curly fries but forgot to take a picture - Dishes are all instagrammable I'd say - see the photos' captions for more
Beautiful location, Friendly staff, well maintained. Quite a big restaurant with many different indoor and outdoor arenas. We were seated almost immediately inspite of being busy. Food was great but had to wait for a good half hour after ordering. We ordered pumpkin soup, veggie stack and margarita wood fire pizza for hot food. All of them tasted great.
We shared a fantastic meal here on Saturday night. The staff were very attentive and helpful. The food not only looked beautiful it tasted absolutely delicious and the courtyard space with fountain is an absolute delight. I had the little Greek plate and the sticky date pudding...I'm already thinking about when we can go back!
Beautiful atmosphere, great food and friendly staff. Vegetarian pasta was just delicious and we were well taken of by our lovely waitress. Parking is available but limited. Booking is recommended as it does get quite busy here.
Came here after seeing a few friends visit this place. Enjoyed the scones I ordered. The pastry was warm and made within premises. I wasn't a super fan of the coffee but, service and atmosphere was just perfect for a hot spring day. Place was clean, charming and peaceful. Wheelchair accessibility: Ramps are available
Bookings are essential in case you want to sit in the garden on weekends. We ordered a salad, pizza and salmon. The menu is quite extensive and we found the salad and pizza to be top notch. The salmon was very average - probably reducing the menu may not be a bad idea? Great ambience, plenty of parking, lovely staff
Located on the roundabout there at Galston before heading towards the Gorge - this Vintage Secret Garden should be a secret no more. The finely decorated restaurant was full of vibrant activity and busy and dedicated staff to making our visit a pleasant one. We thoroughly enjoyed this fantastic restaurant. The food was delicious, the aromas were all tempting and the service was brilliant. Great place for a lunch with alot of nature around for the setting
having visited the restaurant a few times with my family all i can say is that this is the place to be for any sort of function or gathering. Love the ambience, food, service, location. I simply love the food and the service is good as well Don't forget to try sticky date pudding. It's good...
A well designed place! However, food and service is below par. The food, a vege stack had a slice of hard fried ricebrocollinis, some brocollinis, a little bit of tomato, a lot of tube sauce on a thin slice of hard sourdough bread. The falafel roll itself was not bad, way better than the vege stack. It was a small falafel roll cut in half and had some partners of overlasted fries. Coffee was pretty much average with some of the brew sticking under the cup and on to the saucer. The tea was served with way less than appropriate chamomile. It was very disturbing that the owners had left the business run by very young boys and girls. They all tried hard but the lack of experience and guidance was making it very difficult to achieve a good level of promptbess, attentiveness and service quality. If it could be managed more tightly and aim to offer dishes that match the expectations of the designed environment, this place would be great! Having people taking photos and selfies in the gardens it does not make this place to a nice cafe or restaurant.
Strange start, some mix-ups on the way but a good end We went to The Vintage Pantry Secret Garden for brunch on a Sunday in early April 2022. Our booking was for 11.15 for brunch, or so we thought. After being seated and given menus, we all decided our dishes. However the waitress informed that the brunch orders had closed and we could only order from the lunch menu! Change of plan, and dishes! We ordered from the lunch menu - 5 items amongst 5 people. 4 dishes came one after another, but there was no sign of the 5th dish. When enquired, the manager owner? burst out explaining he was highly short-staffed, and even a chef was sick, etc. By the time the 5th dish came, we had finished the other 4. The wood-fired pizza was below expectations- the edges were far too thick. Pumpkin soup was okay but only warm, not hot. The vegan stack was just about okay. The penne Arabiata, when it arrived, was also just about okay - nothing spectacular. A senior lady staff member came up to apologize for everything and provided us a complimentary dessert- which we shared. The secret garden dessert was delightful! At the time of settling the payment, the owner / manager apologized and gave us a discount on our bill. I do think, and hope, that our experience was a one-off.
