Overall great experience. Took mum for dinner and we both had a lovely night. Our waiter Tom looked after us attentively, providing exceptional service, making sure everything was all good throughout the evening. He was super kind, professional and always smiling. All other staff very very friendly and helpful, and even checked to make sure we were comfortable, offering alternative seating if interested. The views are always a winner, and food and drinks came out promptly. Thank You
Absolutely the best restaurant on the Gold Coast — hands down!nI’ve been coming to The Tropic for special occasions over the past few years, and it never disappoints. The food is consistently top-notch, the service is exceptional, and the location is simply stunning. Every visit feels like a treat. Highly recommend it
Everything about our experience was wonderful. James our waiter was outstanding and the level of service from the team was first rate. Friendly, attentive and knowledgeable of the food and drink menus. The food was lovely. We had the barrata and the chorizo scallops were to die for! Unfortunately the prawns were not fresh mushy and a little slimey, indicating possibly old or thawed frozen definitely not firm and springy which was disappointing for the prices. Overall it did not tarnish our experience. Highly recommended for long lunch mid week as the ambiance was stunning and chill.
Venue is absolutely beautiful, the staff are all marvellous!nnI genuinely loved the food despite there not being a huge selection and honestly that is much better. Def try the pumpkin humus and puffed bread delicious, the steak was great and so were the roasted potatoes.nnWe got the prawn pasta as well and it was nice, but there was an odd taste to it.nnBeautiful place day or evening and highly recommended as the view is magnificent we could even spot whales from a distance!.
We loved the location of the tropic. Food and drinks were fabulous including the service. We collectively thought that the food was on the pricey side for what we received.
