This place is pretty cool! Went here for the first time tonight and was really happy with the food and service : you get a monumental amount of food at a good price - I couldn't even finish what I got fried chicken burger special with a drink, chips and onion rings. The service was great, had a good chat with one of the staff who had just come here from the UK who was really nice. Would definitely recommend to anyone!!
The fish was very fresh and juicy. Big portion of fries! Quite clean environment. Eco rating: 1star. Only paper boxes and plastic/wooden forks were provided.
Best fish/sausage & chips in Sydney, hands down. If you're British and miss UK chippies, this is the place to go.
A mate and myself each had a superb dinner of cod and chips at The Traditional Chip Shop tonight. Service was friendly, prompt and efficient. The venue spotlessly clean - including the bathrooms, and the portion size and price of our meals was truly good value. There are many more highlights to experience at this establishment and I hope to return soon.
Good traditional Irish fish n chips... Cod was superb... Chips were hand cut. Curry sauces and gravys were amazing! Hadock was dry and that's the only reason it didn't get 5 stars. Great place. Clean and good decor.
Chips were hardly warm and not crispy at all, I could taste the potato scallop was frozen and reheated by the poor texture. Fish bites were too bony to eat. Haggis was good though.
As a Brit living in Australia, I can say, this is perfectly traditional British fish and chips! They even have the proper salt and vinegar shakers and a great selection of drinks ... who doesn't love fizzy vimto?! I love this place and come back frequently! Worth every penny :
Have been here twice with the first time being absolutely perfect! However had it again and the batter and sausage was not cooked and still raw... But if you get a cooked meal you'll be definitely happy :
Proper chips rather than the usual uniform potato sticks. Varying shapes and sizes including the great little crispy golden trinkets that will have you saying "But I was going to eat that one". I like the fried haggis too for those who are into that sort of thing.
Wow $17 for a 5mm thin, overcoooked piece of Salmon. Chips were terrible, calamari and prawn were disgusting!! Been living in the east for a while and it’s amazing so much can be thrown into a business and only to have this as an end product....it’s only a matter of time till you’re closed! Definitely won’t be back!!
